Intercooler works great. I also used an Ebay unit on my Vette without issue. IAT are never more than 10 degrees above ambient.

The one I'm running isnt quite that tall, but there is plenty of room to fit one a bit taller. With that size the narrow end will probably fit up between the crossmember, so I dont see why it shouldnt fit fine.

Injectors have arrived. I'm putting off installing them though as I have some other projects to do under the hood and I'm going to wait to make a day of it all.

Some issues/annoyances I've been dealing with in tuning idle and off throttle need to be resolved. Idle tends to slowly bounce between rich and lean causing it to half stall then recover. When driving I have to "lay" the rpms on idle range when I come to a stop. If I go from throttle and just chop it and push in the clutch it will stall. It hasnt been a huge annoyance since I always rev match and engine brake. But imagine doing a 3 point turn like this....

Firstly I know I need to get a screen(s) in my intake setup. My maf is working fine in higher load situations as expected since I used the stock maf tube intact. But at lower flow its all over the place. I cannot find the right screen material for the life of me.

Also I need to relocate my O2 sensor. Its just too far down the pipe. With about a 1.7 Second latency its causing my ECU to really chase its tail. Again this issue isnt too bad in higher load since I'm running safe settings so once it crosses X load the fual maps are pretty flat. I'm going to move it up closer to the turbo and hopefuly cut the latency in half.

I've got an new O2 bung(and plug) on the way. And I just need to track down the screen material for the maf. I couldnt find anything suitable at the local Home Depot or Lowes.

No dyno yet, waiting until I get all the little bugs worked out and the new injectors and coils on it. As for numbers, I'm not sure. I'm maxing out the stock injectors which are supposedly good till over 300hp at a mere 7.5PSI. My final goal is upper 300s and my turbo certainly has the headroom to do it.

My stock coils finaly failed the other night. Went ahead and installed my Yukon/BHR coils and a fresh set of leading plugs(rx7 trailers). Car feels MUCH stronger, coils were probably weak from the get go.

While I was under the car I inspected my manifold. I can see there are a couple of very small pinhole leaks where my primaries meet the flange. Not going to worry about it now since the car still makes boost just fine. I will probably weld up a fresh manifold for it over the winter.

My screen material for the MAF just arrived. I'll install a screen or two in my intake to see if that smooths out my idle.

- Edit: Well that was easy! One screen right on the front of my maf tube and the car runs perfect. I was actually trying to stall it and couldnt. Idles nice and smooth, just a little rpm change when the AC kicks on or off. I bet I could probably lower my idle back down(its at 1050 atm).

Just bought a new toy for my car. Snagged it at a price I couldnt pass up. If it arrives before next weekend I'll get it installed and go ahead and put on my bigger injectors while I'm at it

Problems.... Installed my injectors yesterday and now I have a massive fuel leak. Went back into it and found an injector missing an O-ring. Back together and its still leaking like crazy. GRRR why do our injectors have to be UNDER everything Is there some secret to seating our injectors I"m not aware of?

And on the BOV, the place I originally ordered it from jerked me around for two weeks before telling me they still hadnt shipped it. So I had to get a refund and order one elsewhere. Should be here today. Though it wont do me much good till I fix that fuel leak

Whats funny is, I've had those injectors for months. I kept putting off installing them because the car was running fine. Was afraid to screw somethign up lol....I hate being right

Yeah, The injectors are really picky about o-rings and gaskets. Did you re-use the ones you had or replace them with new ones? Also did you use a little rubber safe lube?

I know they are little bitches to install though ............

Its fixed. I went through and removed every Injector completely. Then removed all the o-rings. One of the top o-rings was pinched. It had a big flat spot on it from being rolled, so I replaced it with one off the old injectors. I rinsed every o-ring in water then dipped them in oil before reinstalling them this time.

I've started the car and idled it a couple of times with the hood up, just to get some heat in the bay and check for leaks. There is still fuel pooled on top of the engine, but it is evaporating fairly quickly.
I have it out sitting in the sun with the hood down now. I"ll pop the hood in a couple of hours to let the fumes out and if the fuel is gone finaly drive it .

This sucks..I cant wait to hear my new toy. Went ahead and installed my new BOV since I had the bay all ripped apart. Also removed my recirc pipe section from my intake. And since I had it all apart, I added a screen behind the MAF(already had one ahead of it).

Someday

Now that I finally have my big injectors on I can start playing with a bit more boost. I still dont even have my boost controller connected to the wastegate lol.
As it is though, boost comes on pretty quickly. Currently I'm running 8psi and if I stomp it at 3k I've got full boost by 3500. Not really seeing any of the lag I expected with a 1.00 AR hot side. My intent is to set my Wastegate back down to 6.5psi and then tune it up to 10psi with the boost controller.

I"m still not confident in my tuning skills though.....Its been running ok all this time. But I get the same feeling I got with the injector install that I put off for 4 months. That if I screw with it..something is going to go wrong

I really have struggled with the delay I seem to have for my O2 sensors. Idle still slowly oscilates between 12 and 16 AFR. Low load and it falls into line a bit better. And in boost at least the afrs drop to 11.5 and below. That is pretty much the extent of my tune...

You must account for AFR latency when tuning. In addition, the MAf takes a minute to read - the Fuel VE% map is important for initial fueling.

Ever thought of downloading the Baseline MAF scale stuff to see if you can get it better?

Ok, I just spent some time redoing my Intake. I've moved the Maf tube closer to the turbo so it has more straight pipe in front of it. I've also added a second screen ahead of it. It seems to have reduced the idle oscilation a bit. Hopefully this will make it a bit more stable so I'm not chasing my tail so much with the tune.

I just took it for a quick run and noticed now its running lean at low boost. Its trying to settle at 13 afr. I still have the new injectors scaled middle road using 385 as the original size. So I'm going to lower my injector size setting a little so they give more fuel before I start playing with the maf scale again.

Played with the Maf scale to get my AFRs back down under boost. Had to raise the scale quite a bit to get them back down into the low 11s. And thats even with the new injectors scaled a little undersized. Feel much better now when I look at my guages under boost. Before I was staring at my AFR guage yelling "Go down!"

I've ordered some fresh plugs for it. Its still running the original trailing plugs and I know the leaders are prolly ugly from how rich I usually run. I'll install those and weld my silencer into my midpipe early next week. Then I'll make a serious effort to get my tune right.
