Cool, oil temp is good but fuel pressure is more important and essential for forced induction I think. You should do AFR, fuel pressure, EGT, and oil temp. Then get the good box to monitor Boost and everything else (water temp, command afr, MAF G/S, MAF voltage, STFT, LTFT, etc., etc.)

Yea eventually as time goes on I will get all of those.

My main concern is water temp afr and boost for right now.

I'm getting a raise at the end of Feb but right now all my money is going towards moving expenses. Need to put a deposit on a new place etc etc.

Compressor housing is next on the list, then the BC. After that its just a bunch of small stuff before tuning.

You realise that is a tuning tool but not an actual tune don't you ?

Let me know if you want help with the actual tune .

Yea I figure it would give me enough info etc so I could make suggested adjustments and work out a tune.

Of course I'd always appreciate some help!

Not having used it recently I can't say for sure how much it does to help , but I'd imagine you have to get most of the tune sorted before you can even start using it .

I thought the whole point was to get you the base tune sorted and you would self tune form there.

The base tune (open source) will get you running (for the most part unless you have some crazy setup) and then you can self tune from there. The software helps to do the math for you while you are tuning. It doesn't tune for you. I still recommend paying Kane to "teach you to fish", it makes understanding things much easier and if you get in a bind he is easy to talk to and makes himself very available. Plus, nothing is a secret, so as we all learn we can share and explain things to each other that we might be having a problem with.

Like for example, I am about to call Chris (maybe I shouldn't have warned him) to pick his brain about a few things. Like anything else though, if you don't pay attention and focus you can **** some **** up.

That made me LOL, we got lucky on that deal.

FYI, the base tune is relative, the point of the software is the base tunes come out of the tunes that are already working for everyone. But Like you said, if you have some totally crazy off the wall set up, you will not likely have a good base tune available.

If only I could partner with someone to help with that....

Nothing too crazy, just a td06h 20g, a larger intercooler and uncapped stock yellows. Everything else is pretty standard from the greddy.

Nah, that isn't bad. The air intake will affect you way more than the other items you mentioned.

Just to update everyone here is my old CHRA pieces with the rebuild kit fresh back form getting cleaned and balanced by G-Pop shop. I am rebuilding this for another member and still using my 20g CHRA.

This is the seal plate I had to replace, I believe this turbo had some oil starvation/burning issues from looking at all pieces. Supposedly this thing only had 7k on it...

Here are all the components Minus the center section of course.

Here is the cleaned wheel, they did a kick *** job cleaning the parts.

Before cleaning on the right
