Still haven't installed the turbo, I haven't made up my mind on how to proceed with the build. It's easier to go with honing the compressor housing. However it will most likely cost the same to get the custom piping I would need.

I know the turbo would flow much better with a 3" inlet and 2" outlet. After doing the math all I would really need to change is the inlet piping to 3". The Greddy outlet piping is satisfactory if you remove the Greddy 90* flange and get that fabbed up as well.

OK... After much debate and thought I pulled the trigger on a compressor housing.

Turbo Compressor Housing T518Z SUBARU TD05H TD06 20G | eBay

I will need to get a custom outlet pipe made but the inlet pipe will work fine after a date with the dremel. Also with the new wastegate actuator mounts I have more options for different wastegate actuators. Or I can fab a mount up and mount the stock greddy one.

The greddy outlet pipe imho is the worst part of the entire greddy kit. Going from 1.8" to 1.5" to 1.8" again. With some careful work I believe I can fit a 2" outlet pipe in the limited space that we have down there.

I'm just a few more items short of throwing this kit on. I'm looking at a late august early sept install.

Well the only thing that wouldn't fit is the outlet pipe... I wont be able to find that out until I attempt to mount it.

Everything else will bolt up perfectly, so its really up to the fabricator to make the outlet pipe work.

The pics are **** quality but y'all should be used to that by now. It's surprisingly lighter than the greddy housing. We shall see how it all bolts up. as of right now I am quite happy.

It's going to be interesting fitting a bracket that will work there but I'm pretty sure it can be done.

Cool, are just going to use a high grade silicone 90 on the outlet to feed the intercooler?

well I just measured everything out, basically all I need is a 2" 90* elbow for the outlet. I will strap some aluminum heat shield to it, that was recommended on an M3 forum. The rest of the outlet piping to the hot side of the IC is the same diameter.

as far as the the inlet goes... all I need to do is cut the flange off and throw a coupler on there. boom boom piping is nearly the same diameter.

All the other piping should work out, not sure what I'm doing about that bullshit lip in the 3" to 2.5" reducer pipe. I got some plans for it though.

Once I fit everything I'll be editing my first post showing all the parts I've purchased for this build.

Will this clear the LIM and frame? I cant find a good picture of the turbo inside the engine bay, and I forget how tight the clearance is.

The LIM and frame should be okay, not sure about the engine mount bracket though.

I'm not sure the compressor housing will clear the engine mount.
