how about an update?
whats your target time to get the install underway? Funny how scott and I did our builds at the same time and now you and kma5783 (another tampa member) will be installing around the same time. Its like a battle between tampa and san antonio

Not a whole lot to update. Currently the car is my DD until the R3 is in San Antonio and i get it running. Am currently shopping for a beater car. As soon as I pick one up I will start on the engine swap.

Its an oddball turbo. Here is what turblown has to say about it:
Its a compturbo unit. A CT2-5862 with a tial 1.06 rear housing. All of the comp turbo units feature the billet compressor wheel. Turbine dimensions are the same as a gt35r, and compressor the same size as gtx3076r. This way we get a bigger turbine wheel than compressor wheel( opposite most turbos). The compressor wheel is also smaller than a 61( gt35r) to promotive faster spool.
Bigger turbine wheels are a necessity for rotary engines that want to use their entire rev range( especially anything that is ported as engine airflow is higher). Bigger turbine wheels lower exhaust manifold backpressure which in turn puts less stress on the engine. It also lowers EGT(s) which puts less stress on the turbo/manifold/dp etc. This particular turbo responds and " spools " well because it has a smaller compressor wheel, and not too small, nor too big of a turbine wheel( also has good aero design) Bigger turbine wheels in my experience come into boost faster( more leverage on turbine), but take a little bit longer to hit full boost. Obviously this is within reason, you cannot slap a GT47turbine wheel and expect a small difference compared to a GT30 turbine wheel...

So I guess you will need a custom radiator hose then? Is the center of the oil feed threaded for a new fitting? Usually a flange type oil feed fitting is used there. maybe the hose is just stuck there for picture purposes.
What about the engine mount bracket? I thought it was part of the turbo?

Its actually kinda funny. With my mazdaspeed stuff on my 05 the two of them will look very much alike to the average person.
