Turns out it was indeed a faulty MAF sensor. Pulled old on and replaced w/new one today, reset ecu, started car and Voila! 1.3-1.4 Maf voltage, readings are back online and so is my horrile idle and maxed STFT(only @ idle). Funny how car ran better w/faulty MAF. Either way need to get my drive cycles out the way So I can get a properly calibrated map from Jeff now.

Unhappy Update

Well it's official. I have bad Kharma. Within one day;

My AP crappped on me: Fatal Error
My second Maf Sensor fell apart & failed: Sent me defective part
Found out my OMP vacuum spider broke in half: Thank God I've been pre-mixing
Faulty Oil Drain plug: Fixed

Was monitoring my equiv ratio, when my ap came up w/fatal error. I have contacted chris @ Cobb and have sent back my ap for service.

Was sent a reman POS MAF sensor. Went to take out maf sensor and the top part, that was glued on came off, WTF. Tried to seal it back on and reinstall but soon after the whole thing just took a **** on me while driving. Barely made it home.

When checking for a oil leak, come to find out that black vacuum piece that supplies air, I guess, to the oil metering nozzles was broken. Don't know how that happened, but damn thank god I premix.

Anybody know the name or part# of that OMP vacuum piece? I need to order on ASAP.

Wow. Fatal error? I've seen the AP "reboot" or show an error screen before, but, at worst, you just unplug it and plug it back in again.
Did you get the picture of the cartoon AP with its tongue hanging out or something more like a BSOD?

As far as the "reman" MAF goes, WTF? They are pretty cheap. Why wouldn't you just buy a new one? Glued together?
You are the only person I know that has actually had a MAF go bad, BTW.

I have several of the OMP vacuum distribution blocks here. I can send you one for pretty cheap if you need it. Just send me a PM.
However, the only way to break one of those is to over-torque the bolts that hold the primary fuel rail down. Did you do an injector swap?

Yup a little cartoon ap with the tongue hanging out. I unplugged and replugged but everytime, it would boot straight to that screen. Chris said he had a few do this w/the new firmware upgrade.

Yeah I was under the impression for $150 I was getting a new MAF sensor. After a "NICE" little talk, they ensured that they will be sending me a brand new unit, this time around.

I'm pming you right now about the omp distribution block.

I think when I swapped the injectors I might have done just that(over torque the fuel rail down )

Exclamation Need Help

Okay didn't want to start a new thread but anyway need some help here.

Have a big problem:

I cannot seem to boost past 3 psi. I've checked for boost leaks throughout the system. and the exhaust (pre turbo).

1. Can fouled plugs be the culprit? My idle is **** (Have only changed the leading plugs since going turbo)

2. How about a crack in the UIM that is closing under VAC and expanding under boost?

3. Could the stock cat be to much of a restriction?

4. What are your suggestions?

Well I'm a go down the list 1 by 1 until issue is resolved.

1st thing I'm goin to do is new plugs all round and straight pipe.

We'll see what happens.

Oh and have also just ran it w/wastegate to check boost controller and still netted same results.

In denial that it is wastegate as it's still a Damn near new Tial 46mm unit.

She Breaths!

They finished up the 3" midpipe w/bullet resonator. Sounds real throaty now. Will get some pics up by this weekend, Since I have to replace a leaky oil drain fitting.

Yeah she's still kicking *** & taking names. Ran into some minor issues but have all been addressed. Just finished installing the BHR ignition 2 days ago.

Will be swapping in a Garret T04 60-1 in this Sunday with lots of pics to follow.
Will be interesting to see the difference in response and my powerband. As this will have a tad smaller exhaust side. (.82 A/R) and comparing compressor maps the T04 60-1 and the renesis match up beautifully.

While the MP T70 is out, I may end up getting a ball bearing CHRA installed on it.

Looking forward to seeing it running again. His build was one of the inspirations for mine.
