Bschwemer's Custom Turbo Build

I don't post much, probably because I'm affiliated with a shop, and we aren't sponsors here. Anywho, we're/I am about to start a new shop car, which just so happens to be my personal car. I'm not going for huge power. I'd like to see about 350hp or so on higher boost levels (14-16 psi). The motor has really high mileage, so I doubt it'll last long. When that time comes, I'll be building a rather stout shortblock to toss in.

I just recieved the first box full of goodies today. I'll recieve more suff on tuesday next week. I'll also be building the manifold and down pipe next week when flanges come in.

Turbo setup will be completely custom using the following:

60-1 .96AR T3 in V-Band out
Custom Top Mount Manifold /Downpipe
MVS.9 Tial Wastegate
Turbo XS bypass valve (recirc)
Cobb AP
Godspeed Intercooler
Walbro Fuel Pump
720cc P2's
650cc P1's
AEM Boost/Wideband/EGT Guages
Lotek Pod
Custom 3.375" ID maf housing/intake piping for intake
Yukon Coils

Here's a few pics of the car and the first box of goodies!

I would skip the grossly bigger Secondary Injectors - they are limited in their usefulness.

Go big on the P2's and if you need more fuel go bigger on the P1.

I am 320,400,800 cc's. Which will get you WELL into the 300's

Little too late now I guess. KGparts has all of them for modification and flow testing. Hopefully I won't run into many problems with them. I'll call monday and see if they've started with the P2's/P3's

Does your shop / yourself have much experience with rotary engines? I would think that answer won't violate any forum rules.

I'm looking forward to this build, good luck! -=)

I personally have experience with rotary motors. We specialize in Subaru/Evo performance, though. Unfortunately, I think I know more about those cars than my own, now. Hopefully this build will teach me a lot of new things, especially when we go to tune it in a few weeks.

You might want to invest in a quality intercooler instead of a rebadged ebay unit...

What I've got will work for now. I've used them before with no problems at all. I have a greddy core I'll be using at a later date possibly, but I'll need to have different end tanks welded on for it to mount properly behind the bumper.

Anyways... Did some work tonight. Got the guages wired for the most part. Still need to tie up some loose ends and make a few small adjustments, but it's one less thing I'll have to do next week when the rest comes together.

A Garrett, Bell, Ron Davis, etc core.. It will make a difference on long pulls. Just look inside the cores, there isn't any surface area on the cheap units to extract heat.

Nothing exciting yet... more parts should be coming in tomorrow. I did however get the Walbro pump installed yesterday.

Sure did, but didn't see any definitive pictures on what exactly to do. I left it as is until I search more into the mod.

Edit: Just found a thread that was useful, so I'll be fixing the siphon cap tonight.
