Well Im going to PR wednesday and I'm coming back on the 18. By that time I should have my new clutch so I'm planning to install my new tranny that week and take the car to the track that weekend. I just got my Toyo's R888 today. Il;l take some pics and will post them in my thread. I think it looks sick....

I was talking to Cam about this install and he asked if he could send his RX8 up to us for a 20B install, jokingly . We are all friends in Florida. It is a big job for anyone and the one thing I am sure of is that it will be a quality product.
The fact is that a 20B install takes a lot of work and is very unique, just like the owner that would commit to such an endeavor....
The mad scientist of the house wont just follow suite and install one, he and John decide to make it a mid engine car.
There isnt a lack of customer service, trust me, John and I talk 3x a week at least. It is a slow process because nothing is off the shelf. They are working very hard to make that timeline.

Pettit usually does this conversion in ONE MONTH! I should know I have one. Been running like champ for years now. 
Mark of a good mechanic is skill AND speed. You lack either, that's not a good mechanic. Any average backyard Joe with welder and a set of screwdriver can do a good work if given enough time. If you need examples, stop surrounding yourself with rx8 pansies and come up to rx7 forum. 
Stick, I suggest you tow your car to Pettit. Cam can wrap this up in couple weeks without a hitch and will get you on the road safely. I really think Scott is STUCK. Poor guy JAJAJAJA Has this guy done any swaps before? 20b is nothing like 13b. It's NOT just an extra rotor. If this dude doesn't know what he's doing then I WILL GUARANTEE it won't be done in 15days.
Most of us on the rx7forum WITH full time jobs do this in TWO months at the most. We pull the motor back and everything too. With one year projects, you better be talking extensive motor work, EASY 700whp, dry sumps, full body, and something more exotic than just a log exhaust manifold. JAJA. From what I see, all this guy has done is LIM which looks like ****. I also bet the LIM faces has good chance of having been warped with all that TIG welds on those alu sheets.

How much are you throwing at this guy? Pettit conversions WITH some cosmetic improvements can be had for $30,000 for FC. Rx8 should be easier with bigger engine bay. From what I can see, welds aren't even polished and for the most part aren't even finished.

No need to insult anyone here, stick's the one bankrolling this endeavor, so if he's the only guy with any right to be a dick to Mazsport. Based on what I know of Mazsport, I have a good feeling that they're going to make sure that stick's happy with the end result.

reason for my saying such is the following. by last March, engine was placed with fully built custom intake manifold, and it's December now. I don't understand why it took Scott 9months to mount turbo, radiator, and intercooler with piping.
if scott's willing to talk to me and explain what is going on, that would've been fine. if scott can show me any minute effort to show me what he's been trying but hasn't been working out, that'd been fine. if scott can at least let me know what's going on without my having to feel guilty about trying to contact or "bother" him first via e-mail or phone, i couldn't be happier. i'm not without reason. but in the last 9 months, or rather 15months, how many times have scott and i talked? or how many times was i given a concrete reason for the massive delay? less than 10 times. i'm just frustrated because i expected more of mazsport. you've been patient with me, but i think scott should've been more perceptive of my plight.
the work has been nothing short of amazing, and we can all see that, but it sure hasn't been a fun journey for me. but like i said, if scott finishes by 12-21-2007 as promised, we have no problem.

Log into rx7club and pm any local members in central FL. Scott and Mazsport is known to be DISHONEST!! They were sued by many local guys to get there car back from shop. Scott takes your MONEY $$$ and keep your car!!!!!
