hey thew sorry for this thing taking forever... theres been alot of crazyness between work, school, the girl, and moving, and oh yea! getting some of these parts. haha. well in anycase i should be ready to install soon. and im going at snail pace with this because im so scared of screwing up. but slow and steady wins the race.. i hope well ill keep you guys updated. also could someone link me to where the guy did the radio input hack with the 6-cd changer

Has anyone tried or heard of anyone using the Pioneer GEX-6100TV instead of the 7000 ? I may be able to get one for cheaper, so I'm just curious.

hey the gex-p6100 WILL NOT work.. i looked into it. i think its more of a video amplifier of a sort... i could be wrong... the gex-p6400tv WILL NOT work as it does not actually have the ntsc converter it is strictly a plug in tuner to use with other pioneer equipment. the gex-p7000tv WILL work. im just about to install mine.. i do have an extra one sitting here... im willing to sell it for the 200 i paid for it...

Thew HELP!!! ok so i took your advice about putting the pioneer box in my car finally... i know you have the ave box but they are soooooo dam similiar... so i see on the pioneer box for the power there is a yellow = constant power... red = 12v acc ignition controlled wire.... a black = ground.... but then there is a green wire = illumination? what is this and where can i connect it... and there is another wire.. i cant remember the color but its supposed to be hooked to the parking brake.. where do i connect these wires?
