Chase - got it; I will play with it after work and pt.

I am going to post this here since others may have the same question.

Thanks, Chey
Yes and Yes.

Get Cobb - RaceTuner prgram and stock map; then scale MAF with Baseline... once fully scaled then you can set the target AFR's in the AP to your desired values and then compare target to actual.

The software kinda sucks to set up - but hey; it weeds out the weak... if the information I need is beyond your understanding then you may not yet be ready to play with your motor... my "Rule" is If I can find it online or in a Service Manual - then it is not too much work.. LOL. After some time you can do a full tune in a half hour - including making another Rum and Coke.

cool, man. i may be doing something wrong. dunno.

but after fooling with it some, here's what i'd like to see in a stand alone:

"choose motor" button. you'd have a list of motors stock and an advanced tab for changing specific parameters.

"load map" with a "browse files" -- and it understands the .ptm or a copied fuel map in .csv.

"load log" with a "browse files" -- it would be cool if it could sort the .csv column titles itself.

that would make tuning like 10 clicks.

i'm no computer whiz, so i have no idea how hard hat would be, but just saying, that would make it more user friendly.

The choose motor option is high on my list... it will end up being a web hosted Database.

The browse thing is going to HAVE to be done - I just need to move it to a standalone to get the controls.

The mapping columns thing - I am planning to have you set it up once and be allowed to save it.

yeah, save it would work fine for the columns. i see the beauty of this thing. it could be very elegant.

i can't figure out what's wrong with my copy. it reads the log fine. it seems to import it. but then no massaging for me. i tried kicking the log, but that didn't work either.

i'm going to try it out on my other computer. maybe it's something with vista. gotta make a new motor and fuel map though.

I need you to copy and paste your Baseline and send it to me - that way I can see how you did your motor etc... and try to find out why your getting an error.

Mine works - so I wanna rule out a change in the setup. Plus if I have to fix it for you - you won't have to set it all up again.

Importing PTM files will be difficult. The PTM files are encrypted and only store the changes from the stock map. Let say your custom map has no changes at all from the stock one, your PTM file will be very small (few bytes) and reversely if you have a map with nearly everything changed from the stock map, your PTM file will be huge (few hundreds of Kb).

Decrypting the PTM file is not impossible but it could be very long and complicated.
Your CSV suggestion have far more better chances of success.

Oh I can guarantee you that PTM's won't be a direct import.

But the browse function is definitely going to happen.

Chase - see my MAF post:

You must only set up ONE injector - and your Manifld Scale ned to be in whole number cause that is how the AP logs.... load is 10, 20, 30 etc - not .1, .2, .3.

When I deleted your other two injectors it works.... Want me to fix your manifold scale and send back or can you do it? It is easy.

oh -- hmm. i don't see how those numbers correlate to the load intervals in the map. so i'm a little confused as to how they are derived. if you don't mind setting it up and sending it back, i'd appreciate it.

is it just
.6 =1
.13 =2

etc ?

no - .06 = 6% = 6
.1 = 10% etc

I'll set it up and email it to you.

^ Why do your screen shots show v1.0 Beta, v1.1 Beta, etc... I thought this was to be v1.5 Beta?

i guess the updated parts are just added on to the parts that already work .

looks like my error message is asking for the rpm change rate? i don't think the AP logs that.
