having some trouble. i cannot delete old log files. i tried "back up old log files" to no avail. I know it didn't work because then i saved and quit baseline, then i reopened and clicked "scale the maf," and tt gave me m-values! it should have no data to work with if there's no logs in there. damnit.

what to do?

kane, if you still have my copy of baseline 1.5.1 pre-logs on your computer, zip it up and send it to my email. that should work.

well, on a hunch, i decided to throw some different logs at baseline to see what emerged. these are the m-values it gave me this time.

i've created a maf calibration map with these and will take the same type of logs today around 4 oclock. i apologize again for all the fits and starts.

that means by dinner tonight, you'll have an answer as to whether monkey's can operate baseline.

in the meantime, here's a small pic of my car looking badass

A - Car looks bad ***.

B - Other than those weird values down low on the second pic; they both seem pretty consistent. Awesome - let me know how it does after you scale it.

a. i took that when they were launching the most recent atlas rocket. if i had a better camera, you would have been able to see the reflection better. look by the door handle. cool, huh?

b. i think some deceleration and accidentally letting off the throttle account for the difference.

here's the m-values before and after. on average, they're going down. AND THAT'S AWESOME!

below there are links to all the cool stuff baseline spit out for me -- round 1 and round 2 actual vs target.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/hen0zkjgvtu/data set 1 actual to target.xlsx

http://www.mediafire.com/file/zfuewvofvme/data set2 target vs actual.xlsx

round 1 is before i got m-values from baseline. round 2 is from after I made and flashed a map using the m-values from round 1.

looks pretty good. i'm so close across most of the range that i think in large part I'm just chasing chimera. but round 2 looks generally better even if not so much in every single spot. so, folks should try it out.

I do take chart requests. so if you wanna see one bit of data in a chart form layed over another, i can make that happen for you. I'll be here all the week.

i think possibly in some cases some trending of the maf map after m-value manipulation may be required to keep the scale from looking too much like a roller coaster. I believe the ECU will smooth it out on its own anyway, but maybe not in the best way. I dunno.

Ok - seems like this works so I am going to try to

A - Get Brettus a copy
B - Scale J.Cab's again tonight
C - Release the version Chase has been using to the public.

Let's hope I can get all that done in the next 3 hours.

if you're asking for the numbers, they're in the links.

if you're asking for charts. how's this?

the thing to look for here is not where the afrs are (round1 will look considerably better in that respect) but whether or not the blue diamonds are in the red boxes.

by my count, round 2 wins 12-7.

these are the same fuel maps, btw. and i did the best i could to take identical logs, though from the looks of things, i could have done a better job with that.

Wow - pretty cool way to look at it.

Keep in mind too the scale is showing small differences as being pretty huge.

yeah, if i leave the y scale at 0-16, it's pretty much indescernible even blown up.

and, in case people are curious, my afrs should be richer on the round2 map, and they are. so now i can lean them out in the fuel map with better accuracy, not that i was that far off anyway.

Updates: Brettus and Chase?

Here is one from J.Cab - he is only three tunes in.

Damn bro, that’s all I say. Going up to 116 mph was easy. I cant believe this is only 7 pounds. I actually got scared a little. I cant imagine what 12 psi will feel like. A better tune, but still a little bit of hiccup like I was mentioning at about 5k but a whole lot better than before. Got to get some decent g/s do you think its off by much?

what you need, homie?

i've yet to flash a new fuel map. will have time on the weekend, probably.

but from the data we already have, i don't see why things shouldn't go according to plan.

if anyone has how to questions with using the software, i can help out. i think i'm better than you at dumbing it down. not sure why that is.

Yeah I suxors at splaining sometimes.

I was just curious if you had re-tuned; long term I am curious to see at what point we get diminishing returns...3%-2% etc.

Plus see a new virtual dyno numbers when you get it all scaled up nice.

you should start seeing all that in the next couple of weeks.

i'm leaning out the fuel map. and i shortened the gap in the idle map (tested already -- steady). You think I should change anything else?

or would you rather i just keep running logs back through maf machine and changing the maf map accordingly until i get to 2 and 3 percent across the board, then change the fuel map?
