So I just perfomed this and..it really doesn't get much easier. It all went really well, except I didn't have enough seafoam. haha. I used too much of it in my tank...but oh well. It worked really well. My wife took a video of it but she accidentally reset the settings on it when I turned on the car, so she only caught the second half of it, but you get the point. :P

Thanks to everyone for the GREAT info, it was simple to do, effective, and my car runs much smoother and I no longer have a rough idle. Thanks again.

Oh, I'm going to do it again next month with the ZOOM-ZOOM cleaner, and I'll video the whole thing so those who still don't get it can see how it's done. It really is simple once you've located the sensors and nipples.

Here's the video. Sorry for the poor quality, it was on a photo camera and it was dark.

But hey, it works. :P

lol I thought you guys were talking to me. I was all Whaa?

My car's at 56k miles, probably never done before. I got a decent show out of only a small amount.

If you guys were talking to me, I only used a very, very small amount in it and had huge results, so I would assume that doing it again with a proper amount would be beneficial..no?

It was pretty simple, and very effective. I've never done anything like that before. Went off without a hitch.

for the eccentric shaft sensor, do you just pull it off or do you unclip it like the other ones?

Ok i did the clean today and i found out something very interesting. I bought my car one year ago and had a new engine put in it from day one and after about 2 weeks of breaking it in i began putting 4oz of Marvel Mystery oil in the gas tank at every fillup. its been said that MMO is an extremely good solvent and despite some saying it should not be used as a premix i have. Well anyways after doing the cleaning and starting back up the car i got 1/2 a second puff of white smoke and then absolutely nothing. I believe i can contribute this to my "premixing" of MMO.

To get the sensor off, there's a tab on the backside, squeeze and it'll pull right off.

The MMO could be a good premix...that's an interesting theory. Good find.

Oh, BTW, I gained about 5 MPG when I did this, from 11 to about 16, I'm happy. ^^

It worth it. I used the seafoam method because I had a business trip and my MPG was awful, so I didn't have time to wait for the zoom zoom cleaner to get here. A can of seafoam's $9 here and the tubing cost me $2 I believe. Took 15 minutes to get everything off and ready for it. Let it sit for about 1hr 45mins and voila! I had huge results from only about half a dose (I used half in my gas tank and I spilled the can when I was getting everything ready :/)

My gas mileage has recently dramatically increased and i got 20.5mpg last time with 265 miles on the od!!! However im sure the cleaning really didnt do too much and it was more of the fact i put in new spark plugs and the old ones were defouled...

Yep, New Spark Plugs can make a world of difference.
IMO the "Suggested" lifespan (mileage) of plugs is way too optimistic.

Plugs, wires and coils are coming up on our list. I cleaned the MAF and did the de-carb and had significant results. I need a few more things, the poor car's been sitting for a while...but with any luck, he'll be 100% here shortly.
