I've heard from several that had that setup that it was pretty loud.

I have a Tanabe catback with RP supercat, and that steup has set off car alarms when I drive down the street in Chicago...it sounds great, though...

Hymee, nice looking exhaust, too bad the scale is in kw, it would look better if it was in whp on our usa system.

134 kW at the wheels is 179 HP at the wheels. I guess the more important part is the comparison before and after.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Never mind, I realize how dumb of a question that was, just took some searching.

^ Yeah I was gonna say. The midpipe doesn't need to be on there.. you can use the stock cat just fine with any catback.

Whats better to go with. The Greddy sp2 catback or the Agency power catback? which gets you more gains? Which one is deeper sound. NON raspy. Pipe diameter? 3" for both?

A midpipe. Catback isn't going to give you much of anything for power gains, but it'll make you feel like you're going faster due to the loudness. Even my high flow midpipe gave me a bit of a boost of power. Very noticeable.

I guarantee that someone will notice gains from the rotary extreme cat back.

During "spirited driving" you will always be in the 7k to 9k rpm range. This is where the rotary extreme cat back gives you the gain.

But a straight mid-pipe with no cat always gives a rotary car a noticeable gain.

I have a midpipe with my stock catback and I feel absolutely no power difference what-so-ever, Ive had it on for roughly 6 months now. Will I feel any difference with a catback?

I know catbacks yield nada for power, but everyone talks about this power boost with a midpipe and I have yet to feel this boost, maybe the boost needs a catback + midpipe ??

you wont notice any later, you should've noticed your boost early in, if you are asking this quesiton now, i think you do have that "boost" you just don't realize it anymore.

Jason from RX7store.net can get it for you for less than 870. Took a while for it to get shipped from his distributor so I'd ask him if he has it in stock before buying it if you want it ASAP.

Price of steel has had extreme fluctuations since this thread was started so almost all SS parts have increased in price.

Weird. Looks like RX7store.net no longer sells Borla exhausts. Guess that supplier issue was a big enough issue to stop sales.

Check with a few of the vendors like Charles R. Hill or Fluid Motorsports and see if they can get it for you for less. Even if the price of steel goes down suppliers aren't gonna reduce prices so there's no point in waiting.

Lots of reviews on that exhaust. Some like it and some don't. My opinion on it? You get what you pay for...
