I thought I would post this since I haven't seen any other people with the TRust Power Extreme Ti yet.

I bought it from Japanparts and it cost around $1800, it weighed in at 13 lbs and was 92.7 db

Here is a link to the sound after first startup, I'll make another video soon if I get time

At this point, I think Racing Beat may be the only one for 09s.

Well it can be any exhaust, but you have to bend something so that it can be installed.

EDIT: 1000th post finally!!

Reading 24 pages is fun!

After going through all these, I decided to enlist your help. I'm going for a deep low tone, that's it. Based on this thread, I've narrowed it down to:

Tikkos Racing Twister exhaust
Borla
Racing beat

I really, REALLY want the Twister after seeing the video of it, but I have only seen one person in this thread who has it, and that's a damn old thread. I'm thinking of contacting the Tikkos website to see if I can get it imported in, unless anyone here can give me a better advice.

Now, I have a question regarding the header. Will changing the header help with a deeper tone? As far as I can tell from this thread, the exhaust system in it's entirety does not provide much HP boost, so I'm not looking to increase my HP that way. I just want a deeper note. I don't want to go midpipe yet, so I'm gonna keep the stock cat.

I didn't think these questions warrant a separate thread, so I put it here lol. If anyone can help me out, that'll be great.

Can anyone tell me which one (maximum $$$ = 700) .. sounds the best? I don't mind if it sacrifices a bit of extra horsepower, as long as it sounds awesome! lol

I'd highly suggest just youtubing all the exhausts (Mazdaspeed, B&B, Borla, TurboXS, OBX, Agency Power, etc). As far as I know, you can purchase practically all the catbacks for below $700. If you're talking bout a cat delete/supercat, then it'll cost more but it'll also be louder and provide a little more HP.

I'm partial to the deeper exhausts like the Borla, Agency Power, and Tikkos.

Best bet is to check the For-sale forum or your area forum for it's own For-sale forum. You could easily get a good deal there if you can wait for it.

If not, check out Fluid's site (check the vendor forums). He has a wide selection available.

So I have been looking at exhausts as most everyone on this thread has.

I'm interested in the TURBO XS exhaust. What is everyone's experience and thoughts on this cat-back system?

or well I was. I think it will be too loud. Thanks RoTaRyRx-8

Now I am interested in the Greddy SE system. Whats the word on that? Where is the best place to purchase?

Thanks

Hi guys, just a simple question, most of time, i hear that for a turbo rx-8, 3" exhaust system are the best, i'm waitin g for my kit soon and i have to replace my exhaust line, but i do not understand why 3" are the best and not 2,5, cause with a turbo, the air volume in exhaust line will be reduced, then isnt'it better to stay in 2,5 instead of 3", wich is better for supercharger in my mind ... ?

Sorry if this looks stupid to you... Anyway, if 3" is the best, i allready got a 3" race pipe, i need to get a 3" catback system then, hesitating with Borla catback or Agency power, i want my line to be the less loud possible, wich is the best in your mind or experience to get the more possible silence ?

Ty, later.

Thumbs up

Hi All

Going to have my exhaust replaced and I'll be gutting the cat-so to speak-just a question though-which is better for na, a 3'' or 2.5" exhaust from manifold right through? Basically midpipe replcing the cat and keeping the pipe diameter all the way to the tips with the inclusion of two boxes at the back similiar to the GReddy setup. Mods will include the BHR coil upgrade and the accessport from MM.

Any views/comments will be appreciated. Not many experts on the 8 here in S.A

Cheers

Rotary Extreme exhaust is 23 lbs.

This is the prototype, the finished product does not have all the welded sections.

Also note in the second picture the v-bands have been removed and replace with slip over style connections. No gaskets needed for this exhaust.

^ the sp2 is really obnoxious once you pair it with a midpipe.. heyarnold69 has one hooked up to a AP dual rez and it's pitch is too high and you can hear him from a mile away
