I've heard from several that had that setup that it was pretty loud.
I have a Tanabe catback with RP supercat, and that steup has set off car alarms when I drive down the street in Chicago...it sounds great, though...

During "spirited driving" you will always be in the 7k to 9k rpm range. This is where the rotary extreme cat back gives you the gain.
But a straight mid-pipe with no cat always gives a rotary car a noticeable gain.
I have a midpipe with my stock catback and I feel absolutely no power difference what-so-ever, Ive had it on for roughly 6 months now. Will I feel any difference with a catback?
I know catbacks yield nada for power, but everyone talks about this power boost with a midpipe and I have yet to feel this boost, maybe the boost needs a catback + midpipe ??

yea, after a CAI, Ram air, and midpipe and my car still feels EXACTLY THE SAME, decided to just stop wasting my money haha. Hopefully Ill get nitrous on next year and thatll be my straight line fix, in the meantime Ill enjoy driving one of the sexiest vehicles on the road.
Price of steel has had extreme fluctuations since this thread was started so almost all SS parts have increased in price.

^ bummer, maybe i'll wait then, i'm in no hurry. i guess everything is going up. supplier of koni yellows had about a 13% price hike. thought it'd be a GOOD time to buy stuff, but i guess not...
Weird. Looks like RX7store.net no longer sells Borla exhausts. Guess that supplier issue was a big enough issue to stop sales.
Check with a few of the vendors like Charles R. Hill or Fluid Motorsports and see if they can get it for you for less. Even if the price of steel goes down suppliers aren't gonna reduce prices so there's no point in waiting.
