Do you get any of that "gurgle" or popping? I'm looking at the Racing Beat exhaust because I know it doesn't have that popping with throttle off. From what I understand every other exhaust makes this popping more prominent.

hey guys i need a personal opnion here i have decided on the exhaust i want the greddy spII but i live in bc canada and i want to either get the rp racing midpipe or the rp supercat midpipe now i dont have to do another emissions test for 2 years will i beable to pass emissions with these if so with both? + how hard is the pro claim "bolt on" mid pipe if it is a have to i will just throw the stock one in for emissions and then change it back

your thoughts?

Try this...

Open your browser to www.google.com

Enter "RX-8 Sports Exhaust" in the search field.

Hit the I'm Feeling Lucky button.

Cheers,
Hymee.

PS - I need to update it with pics of the new MK3 version incorporating a full intermediate pipe and OEM quality hangers.

Lol. It's somewhere in those 17 pages. Only thing you get with a catback on an RX8 is a different sound and more than likely less weight.

The one with the Remote Turbo?
Seriously, the loudest one you can stand.
(and your local Po-Po allows...)

A friend of mine has it as well. Make sure you use the cat instead of the midpipe, otherwise it will smell and sound loud and ricey. Also, be prepared for the bumper shrouds to be melted. The tips rest on my friends shrouds and have already started melting the shrouds.

Racing Beat Weight

From Racing Beat's site...

"Stock system + connecting-pipe = 39 lbs
Racing Beat Race Muffler (17.5 lbs) + Connecting-pipe (8 lbs) = 25.5 lbs
This is a 34% reduction in weight over the stock system!"

http://www.racingbeat.com/FRmazda4.htm

Might find more if you go to the manufacturer's site.

Edit: Racing Beat RACE muffler... not the dual exhaust system.. my bad. Still a weight though!

I believe we listed all of the most popular systems about a year or so ago..
I trust you have done a search here on the club search system?
I can tell you the Hymee system is about 39 lbs shipping weight.

Can anyone tell me about the sound in the car on the highway?? I'm torn between the Borla and Racing Beat cat back systems. I don't want a ricey sound and I don't want it too loud although I want people to notice it. I have a concern with how much noise you get in the car.. I want to be able to have a conversation at a normal volume going down the highway. Any thoughts?
