Hello guyz, i would have a little help about something i'm looking for, i'm searching for a complete exhaust line, i'd be interested by buying everything in the same e-shop cause i'm living in europa and this would be more easy for me to recept it all.

By complete, i mean header ( i can have the boostbrother juste close to me but i'm not sure of the quality and it's hard to find good adivce about it... ), catless, intermediary and catback. ( sorry if the terms are wrong, my english is so poor :/ ), i mean complete :p but as i said, my english is really poor and its hard to find the good parts, even with a translate-prog on...

Is this what i could call "complete", needing no more installations' hardware or other parts ? About HP's gain, well... I don't really aim for that even if more is better, but it's hard to see what is true or not sometimes with that stuff, so i'm trusting fate :P Edit : ok let's do it again :

https://www.fluidmotorsports.com/pop.../large/175.jpg
https://www.fluidmotorsports.com/pop.../large/380.jpg Racing beat race pipe i think that's the name.

will there be troubles with the car engine trouble light on board with the catless Racing Beat ?

About the racing header, i'm hesitating, boostbros or AP ... ? Any Race header will fit i guess, but i just don't have any idea of a efficient one, this is the only part i would like to be sure to be a efficient one, any advice about another model i should look for ?

( yes i did lots of searchs on the forum, but it's hard when u don't speak english lol, can't be sure 'bout anything, i'm close to buy and must end it soon cause i'm entering a really charged professionnal's period, then i ll miss time to do it soon, this is the last part i have to, next one is SC this summer ... )

Thx to reading and answering people, i know this was hard to reach this ending point.

Well, finally, i've bought to FluidMotorsport :

Exhaust-RX8 AP Dual Resonated Mid-Pipe
Exhaust-RX8 FMD Exhaust Header
Exhaust-Ultra Medallion Exhaust
Air Intake-K&N Replacement Air Filter
Exhaust-RX8 High Performance Gasket Set

Let's wait now, Brice is a really quick vendor, fastest answering guy i've met for a while ! ( and same first name than me lol ... Didn't know that first name was existing in your country ^^ ). Friend of mine will install everything in his garage, i just hope the noise will not be too much loud, allowed noise limits are getting so damm low during track days around here, i hope this is not the same for you.

The front page here lists Borla catback at $600 - anybody tell me where I can find it this cheap? Also, which exhaust has the least change from stock, which has the most, and where would the borla fit on that scale?

Thanks

-apologize for not being specific (break from thought to hand) - I am interested in the least change in sound and weight (who's loudest, who's heaviest / who's lightest and who's softest) This data hasn't been given in like 23 pages of writing....

I have a Borla and it fits to stock with no problems whatsoever.

I'll see where I got it from, it was a while ago so I can't remember.

Catback Weights

So really, sound and weight are the biggest issues- there is a pretty good log of sounds between here and youtube - what about weight - who's got data on this?

Looking for weights on Mazdaspeed, B&B, Borla, Racingbeat especially as these appear to be among the most popular on the page...

This is what we know and according to whom:
This list is now version 2 with some updates from other on the forum (thanks everyone)

Stock System - 38.6 lbs by the "Weight of Stock RX8 Parts" thread
https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-racing-25/weight-stock-rx8-parts-81791/

Hymee catback - 55 lbs according to Fluid Motorsports but 39 lbs shipping weight according to 'Thew' on post 424 here....?
ExoticSpeed R1-T Dual exhaust - 40 lbs according to Fluid
Exotic Speed S1-T Dual exhaust - 40 lbs according to Fluid
Agency Power Cat-Back Exhaust System - 45 lbs according to Fluid (65 lbs for complete AP system)
HKS Legamax Exhaust - 65 lbs according to Fluid
HKS Hi-Power Exhaust Single Sided Ti tip - 40 lbs according to Fluid
Racing Beat REV8 Catback Exhaust System - 55 lbs according to Fluid
Racing Beat Exhaust - 25.5 lbs according to RX7 store, 30 lbs according to Fluid
B & B Catback Exhaust System - 50 lbs according to Fluid
Greddy Spectrum Elite Catback Exhaust - 55lbs according to Fluid
Borla Cat-Back Exhaust - 29.5 lbs according to swoope
Tanabe Ultra Medallion Racing Exhaust - 19 lbs according to okrx8
Corksport 'Power Series' Exhaust - 27 lbs according to alnielsen
OBX catback - 37 lbs according to always.anthony
knights sport exhaust - 19 pounds (titanium) according to always.anthony
Fluid Motorsports has weights on many of the exhausts but it's fairly clear they are either rounded up or are shipping weights as forum members have begun to fill in more accurate weights on exhausts they've installed at much lighter numbers - so take the Fluid numbers with a grain of salt... (also, as people fill in the weights, I have removed fluid's data for the seemingly more accurate personal data)

Again, thanks everyone for chipping in, I think this is useful for everyone

THAWK97, you can add this one to the list (which I have)
Taken from the Corksport web site, "The CorkSport 'Power Series' Exhaust ..... Weighs 11 lbs less than stock".

That would make it at about 27 lbs. It felt a lot lighter than the stock when I put it on.

obx catback 37 lbs

there's a unique cat back, i forget who makes it, but very very quiet idle, fairly bit louder 1-4k rpms, and after 4k, it roars, very very loud.

anyone know an exhaust like this? i think its borla. i'll check.

Post 561 updated

- I think prices would go on the first page - hopefully weights will be moved there too eventually.
Also, I would think the MS exhaust would be among the quietest, but I don't know for certain. I have listened to some youtube videos and I think I like the sound of the Borla best - but it's really hard to tell not in person.

Chancejat, did you weigh this system? Seems heavy for an aftermarket exhaust, this could be shipping weight...just checking.

Is the mazdaspeed exhaust tips the same size as the oem tips or are they 3''?
