FYI, just installed my TurboXS Exhaust with Catted race pipe last week...the sound is awesome! The cat cuts down on the rasp(but not much), and creates nice, exotic sound...couldn't be happier! To each his own, though...

Which Mazda did you buy?

If by chance it was an RX-8, then try this thread: https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discuss...rx-8-a-233937/

Not sure if the Pettit one has been put up here:

I personally think it's one of the best out there for the RX8, in terms of looks sound and quality, as well as the modular option ability of it.

It can come as catback, with racepipe, or with super high flow cat (very high quality HJS Super tuner piece rated to 1000C)
PR RX8 Catback - Pettit Racing
PR RX8 Catback & Resonated Midpipe pkg - Pettit Racing
Catback & Hi-Flow Cat pkg - Pettit Racing

It is also available for the R3 model as well.

Factory development video here:

Poor quality vid:

Exterior vid (again not great)

I own the Pettit Racing exhaust system with the resonated mid pipe. It is excellent quality and design. The sound is nothing less than stellar.

Which street-legal exhaust REALLY makes the most power though? And also, what would I need for flames to come out my exhaust? Do I need mid-pipe, exhaust, or headers? Or what combination of them?

You need the SE.Arch Catback, midpipe and header combo

Their exhaust system makes some baller gains

Get the full BHR exhaust. Be sure to also get an access port so you can change your AFR to a steady 10. Also get some spark plugs to put in your exhaust tips.

Is that really the only way? I can't just change my exhaust system to make it flame?

So what do you guys things about the full Racing Beat exhausts. I'm talking about the Racing beat header, REN.V2 Race Pipe and REV8 Exhaust System. I'm want to get the exhaust as free flowing as I can but I have one more question. It says on the their site that the check engine light will be one with that midpipe and I was wondering if anyone found a way to have the midpipe without the light on. I just know me and if I had to drive around with that light on all the time , it would bother me. lol
