What he^ said, I'd also like the most power out of my exhaust system and stay legal. I'm looking at the BHR midpipe with catalyst. I have no clue which exhaust or headers I'd need for the most power. (I could care less about sound or price as long as my 8 puts out the most power from each piece.) Any info will help, thanks!

I've only heard bad things about AP, although I appreciate the feedback.

Things like cheap build quality and annoying raspy sound.

I was talking about Agency Power haha! I, too, wouldn't want a CEL, but I'm staying street legal so I'm keeping a cat on my 8. Thank you for the advice though. (I live in Florida, no emission testing, but I'm still not bout that life.)

Yeah I realized that lol. I'm not in America so I don't know your rules.

Nah get a BHR, you'll be happy you did

That's what I was planning on doing for my midpipe (BHR with catalyst). However I'm still trying to gather information on headers and exhausts. I haven't found much on headers so far. And exhaust talk is mostly opinions and about sound, I'm looking to get power regardless of sound.

if you want power you need long tube headers, apparently BHR isn't far off releasing theirs. I imagine you would have to give up a cat converter though. If your going for max hp gain, you don't want one anyway

Interesting, but I don't think I'll take the chance of being caught as it is my daily driver.

As long as you dont have something that people can hear you 4 blocks away, you should be fine. Just saying

Talking

I'm surprised that Magnaflow doesn't seem to be to popular in this thread. I will be getting a full Magnaflow exhaust w/ High Flow CAT installed the end of this month. Curious why no one goes Magnaflow IMO it's one of the best sounding exhaust systems on the market had one on my Supra '88(1jzgte TT Swap). She PURRRRRRRRRRED.

Current running stock exhaust w/ a removed CAT just threw in a strait pipe.

Yes, the Pettit Racing full exhaust system. I love mine. 3" from the header to the mufflers, 2 1/2" out of the mufflers to 4" angle cut stainless polished tips.

Did you notice a differance with the headers? Also I was thinking on wraping the headers when I get them to keep some of that head out of the engine bay? Any thoughts ?

It doesn't do much good to have a 3" exhaust when the manifold/header exit is 2.5" ID

I get asked by every RX8 drivers what exhaust I'm running. I tell them Magnaflow (I'm running 2 magnaflow race exhausts in series and they sound really nice). Light usually turns green when I'm about to tell them my engine isn't exactly stock though. but I agree! They have long been my favorite.

Does anyone know the difference between the Re Amemiya dolphin tail chamber exhaust
and the super chamber exhaust, other than the $600 price increase.

Have you seen pictures of them? I think it's fairly obvious.

From a guy with a very expensive catback.....waste money elsewhere

Does anyone have ANY kind of info on the Exoticspeed R2-T? I was looking into getting the R1-T but its becoming a hassle to find, plus I still don't know if it will fit on the 8 without any modifications. Again, anything would be great!
