Possible issues from well known vendor's fuel pump upgrade. Mazsport
#377
I think the bottom line is many of us feel that silence implies guilt. The old notion of not having anything to hide if you're in the right I think plays a large part here. I understand about not wanting to jepordize yourself in a legal fashion, but the fact that we're only getting information from customers and not the business is suspicious to say the least.
I certainly hope that Jason, Stick and others out there see a resolution to their problems. The only way to fight this kind of thing is with your wallet. If you don't support what has been going on then don't.
Those who are involved with Mazsport and do "know" what is going on would do Scott a great service by helping him find a way to respond to this in a public fashion. The assumption that this will just all go away is pretty nieve IMO.

WOW, my multiquote went WAY out of order....
And by doing so your screwing him over just as much as he is himself
i think many people will be anxious to hear what you have to say swoope... but that doesnt change the fact that Scott has again made promises of an answer as to the issue and not followed through
same to you as BluMonstrRX8, all of you few who are privi to the so secretive information and a part of the secret ninja clan here - are all helping to destroy Mazsport by being cool and keeping your secrets.
Are you serious? can you not read? This is like the 5th time someone has said this.... Jason and Scott's small claims engagements HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FUEL PUMP!!! ..... jesus
As i said, no they wouldnt.....
Funny do you also recall seeing this before? and strangly enough from the same people?
What you just said flash is a great example of the way i see this.... Scott along with these traditional 'special few' who know 'more' about things are all a part of what i think will be Mazsport dissapearing from the community(as in those like us vs. those who buy a car and choose mods based on what google/ebay returns..)
well i have been thrown into this..
here is my comment. i dont have this pump.
i have had one oem pump go bad, and something else happen to another..
it does involve the fuel sock, and i am not going to comment on this thread. i will make my own when i have finished pulling, cleaning and photographing.
at that time i will say what i think happened and why..
but i am just a hack.. all i will be able to do is give observations!
kinda denny style.

Swoope can vouch for me if there was any chance I was bullshitting you he would say otherwise.
Yes Jason I know what happened to your fuel pump. But like you have said before, the matter was settled in small claims. You got what you wanted didn't you?
Or are you just prodding for more information that you are going to be unhappy with anyway.
....You wouldn't be happy with the findings anyway. Trust me. I am not the spokesperson for Mazsport anyway.

If you want to prod the collective thought process to looking at why folks here are standing on the ground they are, let me make mine easy for you....
for me it would be damn near impossible to ever give Mazsport any business. I for a long time had reservations about scott but held to hope that one day i would be comfortable doing business with him as he has some things i want dearly. do i have my opinions on what has transpired with mysql, stick and others - sure. But really, what i THINK has happened isnt as important as what i KNOW. and all i know is what i see people claim here, and the way scott reacts or not to it. If a man cannot stand up behind his own work and products, then how can i be comfortable supporting him? The other thing i KNOW is repeated claims from scott to do things that solely involve him - i.e. publicly posted answers/explanations/etc. And far far too many times he's dropped the ball. We all know that everyone has bad days, makes mistakes, etc - but there is a line to be drawn somewhere, and for me Scott crossed it.

It's not a business or ethical mandate or anything for Scott to do anything like that, but if he doesnt AND these folks dont ever feel their issues have been resolved, then there will likely be many out there who wont feel safe/comfortable supporting him. It really is that freagin simple.
-------------------------------------------------------------
and on a side note - i'm not going back to see who mentioned what, but claims of issues havent just been with a 20B job and a fuel pump. there have also been issues with coils and with midpipes not fitting... not that it has anything to do with my gripe here

Translation: First issue is resolved. Fuel pump issue isn't resolved. How easy is that?
As far as two sides of the story goes, this is all I know:
- I bought an upgraded fuel pump from a vendor. It cost me literally $1000 installed.
- That same vendor did the install, tuning, etc.
- The pump has issues almost immediately.
- The car is brought back for a new filter, which I'm charged for, and I stop premixing.
- The pump continues to have issues.
- I replace the pump and now I have no issues and I premix. I buy gas from the same gas stations and everything.
- Vendor stopped talking to me.
That's MY side. I'm the customer. My side is what matters. I don't care if someone is moving shop or if they have other things to take care of - I bought an upgrade and it did the opposite of what it should have done.
I am really tired of repeating myself because people cannot find the time to read a thread in it's entirety, yet find the time to comment about it with invalid assumptions!

mysgl--if scott wont talk to you anymore then you dont have a choice--you have to do what you have to do. Evan if Scott was my brother I would tell him it is wrong to not even communicate. Again I hope it works out--small claims is not fun for anyone. I am sure Scott also wishes this would go away. Appreciate your clarifying all of this
I dont think he really needs the business generated from this forum to survive--maybe , just maybe he is a victim of his own success--too much to do at once. Not that he doesnt enjoy and want this business.
As far as being a Chameleon per Shellnut--thanks for the compliment: I didnt go away mad--i dont like mad, no one around me likes me mad, and you wouldnt like me mad. I am way pass that. I hope you find peace and have a good life.
Dan I agreed-if Scott posted he would be picked to pieces. Probably by people not directly involved.
All of this brings further truth to something one of my sensi's told me years ago

You might not know as much as you think you know if you think we went to court over the fuel pump. I haven't decided yet what to do about this issue, it's completely unrelated from what we went to court over. You'll note that since the other issue is resolved, I have said nothing about it.

Shinka123 meant that some of the people who have felt wronged still have a lot more they haven't posted yet.

1. If the the complaint began within the first year of your ownership, your choice of refund or new part (subject to manufacturers determination)
2. If the failure occurred due to our installation then complete refund of labor and parts or free installation on a new part.
3. If the failure occurred within the first 90 days then the labor would be covered automatically.
Now if the failure was due to customer misuse or due to failure of other parts within the system, we would have to talk.
4. In no case would there not be constant (daily) communication. The customer needs information.

if you can back that statement up, then so be it, and please share. But if you cant, i dont think its wise to be throwing things like that around in quite those words considering everything thats going on....

You're correct, I'm not certain that it's true, but then I'm not certain that it isn't true either. Just as soon as I know one way or another I'll be sure update my post accordingly.
Until then I'm going to go with what the most likely scenario is given the information we've been provided here as of late.
Mazsport's silence is doing them no good, in this matter, or others.

from what I hear, the majority of Scott's business does not come from this forum so I don't think he cares.
I'm sure he's hoping this issue will die off and it will be forgotten
