I have confirmation that the forum mods are actively deleting the threads.

Talking to me? There was a mediator and we came to a financial settlement instead of proceeding to court.

now why would threads be deleted to protect some one who does this to active members of the community?....this saddens me.....i dont even have an rx8 yet i still hang out with rotary owners and actually give a **** about the people here.....yes i do care that there are faulty parts left and right that wont be explained.....yes i do care that 8 owners are getting the stiff one......this kind of crap just makes me wanna leave this damn site

we could at least be informed first before threads start disappearing

doesn't the community as a whole deserve to know? if it wasn't for all of us here, scott never would have had mazsport to begin with and IB wouldn't have gotten their precious vendor fees from them

actually except for vendors leaving for high prices IB doesnt have a hand in much. they barely communicate. In fact ive been trying to get them to be MORE active so the mod community has some better guidelines or at least a better udnerstanding of their rules for vendors etc.

He did Paul, in another thread.

I totally understand the need to manage things like open threats, posting personal info, etc. And, thank you for the update regarding the state of things.

With the threads that were closed can we simply get them (at least the one we're all talking about here without coming out and saying it) reopened with the offending post removed and actual offender reprimanded as appropriate?

Thanks again for the update,
Shell

ah, i didnt see it anywhere. I have to agree with you though that the threads should be reopened. Absolutely remove anything that doesnt belong, and reprimand as appropriate, but just making everything disapear is not the right way to do it unless things got so bad so fast it has to be temp hidden to get it cleaned up....

why dont you start a new bad guy thread and we'll see how it goes.

New thread, dont give any reason for the thread to be deleted, or even edited for that matter.

first - we are all human, hell halfthe things i do/say i wonder later if it was the best decision... lol

but, deleting the thread over editing it was a very poor decision and doesnt look good. not at all implying anything specific to the situation, just that it doesnt look good to have a mod who makes a decision like that instead of just taking care of the couple of problem posts/posters. but we are all human, hopefully it was just a rash mistake
