Built and installed a catch can. This weekend I plan to do the oil pressure regulator and oil pan.

First week back walking after ankle surgery. Reactivated my insurance for a month since the snow has cleared up the last few days. Installed my brand new AEM CAI which I got for 200$. Then, enjoyed some well earned mental therapy at 9000 rpm.

Put a quick valve in. Fumoto Valve | Qwik Valve™

In Wisconsin we get cold this time of year and my garage is not heated. I like to change my own oil and hate cold concrete on my backside. Will continue to change oil every 3,000 but I'm thinking of going to a new filter every second or possibly third oil change in winter. The quick valve should make this process a lot easier with minimal ground time.

Changed out transmission and differential fluids. Used Amsoil and Zmax products. Positive change in the ease of gear change. Seems to be a good move.

Also gave the cars a new garage door with a R18 energy rating. Ready for winter now.

Reinstalled the RAYS Gram Light 57F, then these lights popped up. Rebalanced the fronts and it went away.

I drove my RX-8 to the local VA clinic. First time to that location. Not too happy that I have to head down that path, but at least I can still get there in a cool car.

Hey Nathan, why did you pull this apart? I feel like the weird sound I'm hearing might be something like a bad throwout bearing =/

It was making a high pitched squealing noise in neutral with the clutch out which over the course of a few weeks became a high pitched squeal anytime the clutch was out to include driving down the road, I can post a Video of the sound when I get to a computer, I'm on my phone at the moment

Had the original OEM rear brake pads replaced with another set of OEMs. $266 spent there. The day before had to replace a rear passenger window a criminal broke to get a gym bag. $370 there. Merry Christmas to my 8!

Hey dude I searched for the video I made with the sound in it but I couldn't find it anywhere, I'm thinking it might be on one of my old GoPro video cards, I'll keep an eye out for it.

Oil Changed. I had to do a quick one, didn't realize that it's been over 4 months since the last one, so I drained it (had collected 2.5 quarts, low oil light lit up last night) in the car port and filled it up with three quarts that I have. Went to Wal-Mart then added two more quarts, bought the BOSCH 3323 oil filter and replaced the filter at their parking lot.

I drove up my new steep, S-shaped 600 ft driveway in 4 inches of snow on top of a sheet of ice with my new Blizzak LM-60s. No weight in back, just a full tank. I was stunned.

Not that I enjoy reveling in the misery of others, but there is a certain satisfaction to watching peoples reaction to you puttering right by. They thought that four driven wheels would make them ok regardless of their inappropriate tire choice haha

I love snow tires(even though my driveway is about 25 feet, not 600)

I'm on firestone winterforce and the wife's BRZ is on Michelin Xice

I have Falken euro winters on my 6 speed but I still managed to break the rear end free at low rpm a couple days ago. Any oncoming traffic would have destroyed me. Tread is still good. Its been hard this first winter with my 8 after eight years driving a Wrangler.
