If you mean your oil cooler, I don't think its a good idea, you might clog it up and maybe slow down its cooling ability. I wouldn't paint the oil cooler myself.

I drove my 2005 RX-8 Shinka AT

Ok, I know that's lame, but here's the rest of the story.

I have an 2005 RX-8 AT Sport that I've owned since new and I've driven 150K miles. It needs work, but it runs. I'm giving it to my son.

I needed a car that was working nicely. After a year of mulling it over I decided, I needed to buy another RX-8 for my mental satisfaction.

A search via cars.com show an RX-8 Shinka AT in Dedham MA with only 8700 miles!!!!!

I didn't believe it, but after pulling the CarFAX and talking the the dealer, I made an appointment and after one drive, I was stunned. I didn't leave the dealer until the SOLD sticker had my name on it.

This RX-8 Shinka is practically brand new. It had been stored in an an air conditioned garage under an air breathable custom cover FOR EIGHT YEARS!!!

I have the women owner's final checkout sheet from when she bought this Shinka and all of the Mazda recalls and PCU flashes were done immediately when they came out back in 2005 and 2006.

I changed out all of the fluids yesterday at the Mazda dealership in Worcester MA. The dealer said it was the most beautiful condition for a used car he had ever seen.

There was almost NO RUST on the break disks even.

Anyway, I'm a happy camper. My Shinka will be parked in a garage next to a state trooper's SUV, that belongs to my neighbor. So don't get any ideas.

Got my exhaust hooks re-shaped to prevent rattles during idle then drove on the 118 freeway and a fender liner came out of nowhere and flew towards the front of my car and jacked up my front bumper and Burnout lip and needs a re-paint. Always one problem after another. Damn you Santa Ana winds.

I enjoyed reading that great story. I hope that you will get many great years with your new Shinka.

Best wishes,

Took it for a drive in the morning and as I entered the highway while accelerating my car just randomly shut off. Turned out it was the 15a engine fuse that blew, luckily I had spare ones with me at the time and replaced it.
I drove the car about 30 miles to see if it happened again, but it didn't..hopefully it won't.

Had my friend help me replace my bad SSV Switch. Very tricky to do without removing the SSV itself, but we managed, and now my CEL is gone.

Bought him Pokemon X and lunch as a payment.

Made an appointment with the local Mazda dealer, as I came out to my car this weekend, and found that the rear seat on the drivers side was soaked, in addition to a damp carpet in the trunk . I took my rear seat cushions out, and removed anything I had in the trunk that wasn't in plastic already. I'm really hoping this is just a rear windshield seal failure, as that's where I traced the running water to...I'd hate to see her have to go under the knife, as I do all the work on her otherwise...

Might be a good idea to find out what caused a 15amp fuse to trigger?. I would want to know. If you find out please share.
