I can't think of a reason for one to be more expensive besides that it is the Shinka crossmember. I wouldn't put money on it though.

Hey dumb question. Will any engine damage result from running all leading or all trailing spark plugs?

And leads are the two horizontally and the trailing are the bottom two horizontally?

No.
Leading plugs are on the bottom, trailing are on top

Ok and how bad is the damage? I've heard of people running all one or the other.

The answer isn't necessarily true, but it will affect the engine/ ignition over time. So no point going into detail or starting in the wrong direction, then having issues later.

I just re-read your question:
If you have all leading plugs, that is bad. All trailing is fine, but I still recommend using leading and trailing in the correct positions.

Trailing plugs run at a higher temp than leading plugs.

Thanks RIWWP for the info at least you answered my question about the O2 sensor thing.

"That being said, even the price for the RB header is a waste, because the RB header doesn't really have any gains."

That's exactly why, I'm not willing to spend $500 to see virtually no HP gains, Im mostly interested in the difference in sound that this particular mod will offer. I'd have no problem investing money on a big mod with significant HP gains such as porting, FI, Cobb tuning etc. but for something that will make no difference outside of sound $500 is ridiculous, but thanks to you I am no longer even considering the OBX I'll just go with one of the other vendors out there there are plenty, so thanks again. And as for the BHR header that I've read about on some other threads, they seem to be announcing this thing for a couple of years without any release some people were calling it vaporware so I'm not counting on that one. As long as I don't see a negative gain on this one I'll be happy and I'm sure Ill find one for less than $500 that's of good quality (def not an ebay one). Thanks again guys!

Inspect upper and lower thermostat housing for cracks, but more than likely you need a new gasket or to reseat your existing one. It's easy to bend or crease so you may be better off replacing it to be safe. Also you did you verify all the hose clamps are in place.

So, this morning I noticed that, after I locked the car with the fob, my blinkers weren't flashing.

I double checked all the closure points (doors, trunk, hood) and they were all closed.

After this I realized that the passenger door wasn't locking... either with the fob, or the manual button inside the driver's door....

The driver's door locks with no issue, but the passenger won't respond... Did I blow a fuse? Any ideas?

Hi Guys

first post on the US site.....so expecting to be flamed (so i ran for cover in here)
i have completed a Greddy turbo install and have an Access Cobb for the tuning, (i didnt know better at the time) so i had signed up to the MM service that i havent used yet as i missed the day....

anyway after many emails trying to contact the illusive MM i finally get a reply that says i should'nt be using the map that i have and that i have to pay lots more $$$ to get the map right as i need it in a rush, after all my chasing for how to send payment all has gone dark again.

basically my question: is there anyone else that can map the UK ECU with the cobb are are they likely to be able to sort the map over the next week.....(as the car is due on track monday the 9th)

i had ran a search for Cobb and UK but lots of cars for sale and units for sale came back....

any advice is greatly received!

Nothing wrong with using a COBB, though your experience with MM isn't surprising. If you download the tuning software, you can get a fair amount of DIY help here, otherwise there are a few people that will help you remove tune for a fee.

Going to the track with a Renesis Turbo and a less than perfect tune is going to result in very bad things....

Unless you want to end up with a grenaded engine you might want to rethink the plan

issue with the tuning software is it doesnt work on the UK ECU , and dont get me wrong guys if the tune isnt right then i will just have to cancel the track day and loose the money, would rather that then end up killing the 8.

i can remove the map and install a base that is fine, i had already paid the $300 for the MM service before i read some of the horror on here.....issue that i have is as far as i can see he is the only one that offers the tuning of the EUDM ecu...if there is a way around the software to get it to work so i can DIY it that would be fantastic, just not sure it can be done

fender insulation replacement

Mice have made a 6x4 hole in the left fender insulation. I have searched and found articles on mice damage, and others on removing the insulation, but wondered if anyone has a suitable material to fix it? Seems to be a brownish fiber with a dull black woven material on the top.

Any one have a wreck that they might cut a piece from?
