Interest in Flying up MazdaManiac for an AP dyno tuning weekend

hi folks,
I just spoke to Jeff tonight. He has a couple of recommendations for people to make sure their cars are in top shape for our tuning day:
1)Make Sure your ignition coils and plugs are in top condition. -The most common problem on dyno tuning days is people with old/fouled plugs and mis-firing coils. This is a common problem. If you have more than 15K miles on your car and you are using the original coils and plugs it may be wise to bring it in to the dealer to get it checked out or replace them yourself.
2)Make sure you have a proper working MAF sensor and intake in good condition. If you have the stock intake you should be fine. You may want to change the air filter to make sure you have a clean one. If you have an aftermarket intake make sure your idle is steady and you don't have any problems with it. Jeff Mentioned the AEM/Mazdaspeed intakes work great and the Racingbeat intakes work well too. He said he has seen issues that make tuning difficult with the K&N V2 and panel filters.

I wont be able to do it this time (need a new clutch
) but hopefully he will come up again one day. Or I will just have to do it through email. I do have air filters if anyone needs one.

Sorry you can't make it.
As soon as Jeff purchases his plane ticket I'll start posting up the planned cost for each person.
We'll be splitting the shop's dyno charge and Jeff's flight cost evenly some people might take a little more time and some people might take a little less time on the dyno. What we're all paying for is optimizing the tune on our cars and making more power, not a specific amount of dyno time or runs.
The only differences will be if people need to purchase an AP or if you have a different EMS or AP not purchased from Jeff.

Nyted had to drop off the list so there are now only 3 deposits and 2 slots open.

Sorry, I haven't been checking in lately, but last I tried the deposit didn't work. I'll happily paypal you or someone right now though. You can count me in for sure. I just need the date and will be driving in from Vancouver, Canada. Thanks!

I will lock in my deposit tonight when I get back home. When I tried back a while back it wasn't working. But I will for sure be there...Hopefully with my meth kit as well!!
