I wasn't planning on buying an AP til closer to March, but I might be willing to push things up some. I need to figure out how much my whole trip home for Christmas is going to cost me (airfare was already $700, so I need to set a budget for while I'm back there + presents) but I'm definitely interested. I'll definitely stop by to hang out though, I'll update when I figure things out!
That's correct. $50 per person for Jeff for MazdaManiac AP customers and $150 for other EMS'. Definitely let us know.

Wow $700 for a plane ticket. Where are you flying home to? London?

If we only get 6 cars the shop will charge us for a 6 hour day so it would be $600 but we can go up to 8 hours for $800 as long as we tell them either way ahead of time. Basically it's $100 per person for the shop

Count me in, but I can't pay the depost. When I try to register I get this error:

I hope I don't lose my place on the list

Round Trip to Massachusetts for December 23rd.... yah, holiday season + ordering just 1.5 months ahead + tax + fees. BTW, if there's a TWR drive Dec 28th I won't be able to go, I'll be on the wrong coast.

The price of flying and the price of driving are slowly converging. In theory, if the AP will let me get up to 25mpg in 6th on the highway, the cost is $600 in gas for the round trip but it takes ~40hrs, so there'd definitely be at least 1 hotel room involved.

Because of my job, I work for Boeing, I work a lot of Saturday's and never know which ones I get off until that Thursday or Friday. I'm usually off by 2:00 so if its after 3:00 I think I can make it.

Sure. We could definitely schedule you in to a 4:00 slot either way. Let me know if you want me to put you on the list and then submit your deposit with Kris. Our 48hour refund policy should take care of you if you feel you can't make it.

You can sleep in the driver's seat at a rest area. I've done it. Not the most comfortable, but not too terrible either.

Anyone having trouble with the-winding-road please e-mail me. I'll need the address of the page that you're having trouble with, and the error message.

Grouch, were you trying to register at the-winding-road, or pay the deposit?

Google calls it 44hrs. I suspect it's more like 36. I'd definitely stop to sleep, and then there's the cost of oil and oil filters too. I'd probably change the filter before I left and when I got back, probably get all clean oil at home (since oil is effectively free for me back home... having a friend who's a mechanic ftw. Last time I got 5 quarts for $5).

Either way, this should be doable. If I'm considering doing a CAI this spring as well, I assume it's worth trying to do that first?

BTW: it will be helpful if you can let me know what your EMS status is so Jeff knows what to plan for and how many APs he should bring up for people that need to purchase them from him at the session.

How much will Jeff charge for them if he? (or if you're Jeff reading this: 'Jeff, how much will you charge for them?' )

I'm gonna hazard a guess and suggest January 17th?
That works for me, anyway.

Ok, I should be able to swing this. I'll try and figure out TWR for putting my $50 in.

I just tried the link and it works for me without logging in.

http://www.the-winding-road.com/modu...products_id=50

Anijo I have you on the list.

Jeff if that weekend works for you I'll set it up. 1/17/08

Kris PM me and let me know who has paid the deposit.

I'll connect with the shop this week and confirm.

Once I have it confirmed Jeff I'll let you know so you can set up the flight and book it.

Just tried paying my deposit and couldn't get the site to work. Put me down for an afternoon slot. I'll probably order a AP in the next day or two unless you think for some reason it wouldn't get here in time.

Great. I'm sure it will get here in time. Make sure you purchase it from Mazdamaniac so you can get the deal on Jeff's tuning. Also he can bring them up with him if you let him know you want to purchase one so he has it for you when the tuning session happens.

Could you also PM Kristopher_d with the error you're getting when you try the deposit link so he can take a look at it and help you out.

Do we have a tally of who is in so far and has placed deposits?
The 17th works for me.
I'll book as soon as I can have some list data.
