Lesson's Learned:
- Check your coils
- Check your plugs
- Delete your cat
- Don't let Redneck Canadians do your turbo install, especially if it involves window screen.
I got to find a full blow party at my house. No way I'm making it out tomorrow. See you guys in a week for Kris' next TWR drive/Saturday cars 'n coffee.

Should be a lot of pictures, dyno graphs, maybe even a few videos coming over the next week or two. The event was pretty successful.

Yesterday was a great time and things went very smoothly overall. Jeff was great to watch and really good with each person. He really is the man with this stuff. Thanks Jeff!
There were mechanical problems with about half the cars that came and most people didn't even realize it. What was cool for people that didn't really make a ton of gains is that Jeff was able to still dial in their car and tell them what was wrong so as soon as it gets fixed they are good to go.
Okay to give people something to chew over here are some top line numbers:
1)Gained 15peak hp and 4peak tq - NA 04 in proper working condition with reman motor
2) gained 2 peak hp and 10 peak tq - NA 08 in proper working condition
3) gained 3 peakhp and no peak tq - NA 04 Bad coils and probable low compression
4) gained 9 peak hp and 9 peak tq - Turbo 04 with clogged cat
5) gained 2 peak hp and 5 peak tq - NA 04 low compression motor
6) gained 0 peak hp and 0 peak tq - NA 04 bad coils
7) gained 25 peak hp and 7 peak tq - turbo 04 with mechanical problems (boost leak maybe?)
8) gained 6 peak hp and 0 peak tq - NA 08
My advice to the Cali guys for next weekend:
-If you have more than 10K miles on original coils I would definitely change them and your plugs before the event.
-If you have an '04 on the original motor get a vacuum test done at the dealer to make sure your motor is in good shape
-Make sure your cat. is not clogged -do a few hard runs around and you'll be able to smell it
-Make sure your mods are all in proper working order. No turbos with boost leaks and half put together kits.
-Bring Crispy Creme Espresso Creme donuts. Linda FTW!!!

So when do we get a list of peak hp figures? Inquiring minds wanna know...

I zoom therefore I am.
My cat isn't clogged.. and I'm just waiting for the BHR midpipe. Sorry to hear about all the issues you guys had but it sounds like everyone was happy with Jeff. He's like the freaking energizer bunny around cars.... always fun to watch.

So I figure I'm over 200whp now on some imaginary dyno that aligns with the spec. hp numbers on our car.
The highest hp number was the broken turbo car at 215hp but it wasn't able to do a full pull because it wasn't even running right.
Ultimately what's useful to discuss is the relative gains.
I suppose each person could post up:
What was really cool about the final tune Jeff created for me was...
I learned my car was running very well but could probably use new plugs
I gained power and torque from 4600rpm all the way to redline.
I gained 15whp and 4 wtq peak
The biggest difference between baseline and final was ~30whp and 18wtq at 8Krpm
My average gain was 6whp and 7 wtq

Jingle Ballzzzz!
I'm posting at least part of my pics before I leave for the drive this morning with several of us from yesterday. Overall, I took 125 pics - these are the best. I was also only there for 5 of the 8 cars that were dyno'd...
KITO Autosports in Ballard:
Shaun's 8:
The gang getting ready for Shaun's dyno - you can see dannobre talking in 2 of these:
You can sort of see Jeff/MazdaManiac in Shaun's 8 - taken through the viewing window:
Some of the cars in the morning - it was freaking 35 degrees!!
Car #2 - Nick/Anijo:
Dan and Jeff getting ready for Nick's tune:
Jeff in Nick's 8:
Comparing results:
Kevin/Nemesis8 pulling his 8 into the holding area - he's next after Justin's turbo'd 8:
