Interest in Flying up MazdaManiac for an AP dyno tuning weekend
Yeah, I'm headed down the reman road it seems. I should have seen this coming. My commute shortened to work, and I don't have the proper amount of time to exercise the engine like the old days.
OK, looks like one more week on this engine will be OK. I'm still in for the dyno tune. It would be nice to see how the engine reacts to this type of tuning, no matter how borderline the compression is now.
Thanks for the call Shaun!
OK, I have my AP updated, and have installed the new base map. The car fired right up pretty much instantly. Warmed her up then went for a burger. She is resting right now for the night tucked away in the garage. I'll get my second drive cycle in on Sunday, then datalog Monday.

Not at all. I received a range of numbers and do not understand the format.
My invoice shows:
39819 1.00 Compression test completed all good at this time
Front rotor at 6.9 to 7.4 KG X 100
Rear rotor at 7.0 to 7.4 KG X 100
Min Spec is 6.8 KG X 100

Without RPM they are useless...unless they are normalized values to 250RPM
I know this is a stupid question. My plugs and coils were changed a little while after the compression was checked. Would the results still be the same?
Dannobre suggested in another thread to seafoam the engine. Which I'm going to do and then have the compression checked again.
