Ive done a couple laminex headlights and have heard that the taillights are particularly difficult because of the main bulge of the lights it takes alot of finessing...
I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes... either with pictures of my awesome tail lights... or with me ranting and bitching and offering someone money to do it for me

In all fairness, it looks simple enough, just don't get carried away with the hair dryer when heating the film.
Ya think this will end up as MyGarage or something?

Note to self: Not getting younger, customers don't give a rat's *** about you, company gives you vacation time for a reason. Must. Use. Vacation.
Wonder if Wankelbolt is running in this? https://secure.drivenasa.com/event/829 I gotta see if this appeals, or if I'm just chasing another mirage.

I've been debating which organization to go with, either SCCA or NASA, and every time I say something about NASA the racers start laughing and tell me SCCA is the only way to go.
I'm a contrarian by nature. I use AMD processors in everything I spec, my "daily driver" is a Dodge Grand Caravan because I like a pickup with a permanent cap
, and I'll probably go with NASA for the exact same reason.
Time Trials, autocross and Hyperdrives are most likely as far as I'll ever go, and as far as I can tell, if you stick to the "stock" category, the -8 competes cross-organization without a fuss. Aside from cost, I can't think of why I couldn't belong to both NASA and SCCA in the future.

Therein lies how crazy we drivers can be. There is an event, in three weeks time, but to be honest it isn't your local club autocross.
HPDE at VIR, the Full Course, in mid February. "Sure", you might say, "but the car has heat". You'd better have it on full, because if you're running HPDE 1 like I'd be doing, you're running with the windows full down at speeds approaching 130 mph. You have to be able to signal with your arm out the window, and since I'll have an instructor along, so must he/she.
Totally fsckin' mental to even think about it. The tab alone is well over $650, including the required SA2005-rated full-face helmet that I haven't got.
The tab is still open in the browser for the event, there is enough participation already that there is a waiting list for instructors, and this is also a Time Trials event. There is a Hyperdrive.
I must be bughouse insane, but I'd be in like company.

I'll see, Ive got a gremlin to chase in my SC and if its not major its only a $10 pulley bearing, but if the noise is coming from inside the blower, Moon is going to have to come up and inspect... talk about customer service....
got a link?

As for the "go", I didn't know of this one until Wednesday this week. Thought the first one was months off, at VIR, during the runup to the Grand-Am races. The -8 needs some brake work, and I have nowhere decent to work on it at the moment.
