I'm with Dan
So I called the insurance guy at the body shop back today and gave him some info about my car. He said whether or not its a touring, GT, or shinka makes a difference in the value of the car (duh). He also said they have it dismantled and there is extensive damage. He said he can tell the car was in immaculate condition and was clean and that I took great care of it but it's not looking good. Aaaaaaaaand then I started sniffling and there was a very awkward "Are you ok?"

all these people are gonna say they're going to the fudd's meet. then, come sunday, NO ONE shows up. the FC guys are the only ones that show up, but they pretty much have their own click. FD guys are non-existant...i don't think FD's are around anymore. jaime or greg, give me a ring and tell me what it's like.

well after calming down and going to the car and bringing the tires into the house, i started looking at the second tire a little harder. and much to my dismay it apears that it too has the same damage, just not nearly as bad, but still not usable. so now i have to try to get two tires out of them, i cant wait for monday. i just want some flipping tires damnit.
not that this is of any relevance to anything, but i got some small things done with my car this past week...
1. hardwired radar detector. took the ideas from the DIYs on the forum and did my own thing... sorta. Mounted it above the rear view mirror, then I have the mute button in one of the blank switch spots on the left hand side near the dsc and dimmer. Very clean install (mute button wedges into place), i love it except it seems awkward to reach to the left for the mute button. might relocate, but at least the basis for the wiring is done.
2. I rewired the sunroof to the delayed power source so i can close my sunroof after the key is taken out. helpful already. (yes, i used a 7.5 amp inline fuse)
3. (the most minor) i rewired my ipod cable to my glovebox and set the switches on the control unit (DICE) so i can control my ipod from the radio. only problem is it does not like to keep itself on "random", which might just annoy me enough to switch back.
All in all nothing big, but its convenient AND my dash no longer has an ipod and a radar detector cluttering it up.
coming in march... new windshield and tinting. Then I'm [finally] moving to performance.

yes greg used tires.. its what you do when your broke, and the alignment is off that it just eats tires.. i was getting an alignment but i still didnt want to drop a couple hundred on new tires to replace them in a couple months if the alignment wasnt right. i was just covering my ***. and on top of that this company says in their disclaimer that these tires are visualy checked, water and air checked. so i thought i was safe enough. and dont get me wrong i would never put these on the 8, just the probe...

paying attention to details like this will only make your attention to the bigger things that much more noticable...
