On a different note, my birthday is on March 27th and I was thinking of celebrating it this year with a bbq or something. There's a big parking lot by my building and we'd could have a bbq or something if it's nice. There's a couple bars in walking distance and there will be bunch of hot girls with daddy issues that work with my wife in the restaurant. So you guys are all invited to come hang out and have fun. Figured I'd make a meet out of it.

 

March 27th eh? I'd be off that day so I should be able to come up there. Sounds like a fun day!

 

I work Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights... so I won't be able to make it March 27th (Tuesday) if that is when you have it.

 

Well I was thinking the saturday before or after pending schedules.

I'll keep an eye on this thread and see if one of your guys' meets syncs up with a family visit this summer. I grew up that way near Warren and my parents still live there. The 8 just doesn't make it up that often because of the dog. He can't get comfy and paces around in the back for the whole 4+ hour trip. I suppose the wife and I could take separate cars.

 

Hey guys... I'm getting a serious case of Cabin fever. I feel like all I do is Work and Ref Hockey and browse the internet for car parts I can't afford.

That and watch the price of star specs climb to unreasonable levels.

Anyway, is there any interest in getting together soon?
I was thinking Friday, Feb 24th? Or is that too short notice?

I have a wedding rehearsal on the 24th... so I won't be able to make it then.

Doc,

Any chance I can borrow your coil spring compressor at the meet for a week or so? I'm taking 3/9 and 3/10 to work on my car, so I won't need it after then (assuming everything goes well)

 

If he doesn't have one, provided he is done with mine, Jon can just bring mine to the meet and you can borrow them.

I actually have two different kinds of compressors. The individual ones that basically have a two hooks on a threaded bar, and the monster contraption that looks like an oversized staple remover. You are free to use either if you need them.

I'm assuming you need them to re-use your stock top hats?


BTW I plan on being at the meet. Probably with my bitch in tow.
