Was this just a slow speed cruise day? Or full out lapping day? I'm going to Road america Oct 3rd and 4th. Its hosted by Midwest F-Body Association.
roadamerica.fbody.us is the website. Its a good price. Great fun when I went in mid April. I was hitting 125 on the 2 fast straights (with a 280 lb instructor with me) and that was easing my way around the track as I was new there and didn't know it. Plus just had new tires and pads on the car and was getting used to them too.

It was their "Tour the Track" event. Up to 150 cars go out on the track with two or three pace cars. Speed limit is supposed to be 70 with no passing in the corners. First lap was very slow. Then the pace car took off and for much of the remaining 6 laps (24 miles) it was pretty much as fast as you could safely go. Keep in mind that most of the drivers were not out there to race and weren't interested in banging fenders in their Vettes, Porches, Ferraris, Lotuses, Cobras, etc. Short of an actual track day, it's a lot of fun. I hit 110 a few of times in the straights and I was being passed a couple of times.

Definitely. I'm going to the HPDE/Open track at the milwaukee mile on sept 5th. And then over to USA International Raceway the 13th of sept and then to Road America Oct 4th.
If you like to or want to track your car, plenty of local stuff.
PM if you want some more info for local stuff.

Hey Everyone. Im not new here and dont live in Wisconsin,I live in the Chicago area, but i drive up to Whitewater just about every week or every other week. Ive nvr seen any 8s up there or even when i was goin up there. So just dropping in and saying Hi and wondering where everyone is up there.
Wow! What a great turnout for the Tuesday car show! There are usually about 40 to 50 cars on any typical night. So this week I decided I would get there early, about 4:30, so I could get a good parking place. As I approached the location, I saw more cars there already than were usually there at peak time on any other night! I'm guessing well over 150 cars there for the night. Here are a couple pics I took.

merkidemis, if you are coming I will definitely try to make it, weather permitting. Wheeldog was there last week. It's always great to have a contingent of RX's representing the breed!!!

Road America on Oct 3rd and 4th sponsored by Midwest Fbody Association. I will be there the 4th. I think its $5 for a guest pass and if you have a snell2005(might only be snell2000) rated helmet you can ride along with other people.
