I pulled 4 ribs out of place friday and the doc didn't want me sitting in a car for long periods. As the drive down there was 4+ hours, I couldn't make it. Sorry guys.

I pulled out the 4 ribs loading an old radio cabinet still full of radio equipment onto a trailer. We dolleyed it out of the PD basement and onto a trailer.

I plan on being at the Quiznos Car Show this Sunday in Pewaukee, weather permitting. Would be nice to see 2 or 3 Rotarys there to generate some interest! If you go to the July pics from last year, you see a couple of my VR there.

Anyone from the central wisconsin area or the fox valley area, check out www.cwscc.com and also fvscc.com. There is a lapping day at USA International Raceway right outside of shawano, wi hosted by fvscc on sunday the 31st. I plan to be there for morning and afternoon sessions. $70 for 4 15 minute sessions.

Id go to the show but i just got a different 8 and all i got on it so far is exhaust. Havent had time to do my enclosure in the trunk and havent ordered my new rims and tires yet so it doesnt pay to bring a stock one to a show.

Seems you're a little far away to make it to the Pewaukee car show, but don't let the fact that you are mostly stock deter you. I've been that way for 4 years now, and I still get a lot of questions and favorable comments from the other attendees, even some of the hard core muscle car guys. It's great fun when you see the looking under the hood trying to figure out where the engine is!

Try it, you'll like it.

This past Saturday I went out to HWY 100 to kill some time before heading to a buddy's house.
Encountered another Brilliant Black 8 which was nice to see...believe it was a girl driving it. Anyway they witnessed me beating a 2G DSM.(I have a 1st gen so be nice.)
I drank too much that night to remember these little details.

Generally i try to stay away from hwy 100. Too many dumb drivers and too many cops out there to risk it.
Like I said, I just go out there to pass time usually until i get word of a party/gathering.

have had it for a week now and can't stop smiling. if anyone is going to any of the SCCA autox events let me know. I have been autoxing for the past few years with my old eagle talon but looking foreward to taking the 8 out.

I'm planning to do the Touring the Track event this weekend at Road America. For those of you not familiar with it here's a post I made in 2006 re my experience then. It's not like a real track day, but it's still a lot of fun, especially if the pace cars turn us loose! For anyone that would like to drive up together, we could meet at the Pettit Ice Center and leave about 9:30am. It would be great to have a contigent of Rotarys there!
