I'm in, but I'm scared. lol
If you were getting a new exhaust in a couple months, I would think about it Adam. It sounds good, but I don't know if I want the one tip look. haha

Did you already buy a new exhaust Adam? Which kind? I still want to see some pics of the the new front end.
I won't be making it to any meets this weekend but I still want to have a meet May 12 if anyone wants to do a seafoam day with me. The car is officially back in business, I wouldn't call it better then ever but it runs without stalling. Not sure which exact thing was exactly wrong with it but it could have been a combination of a number of little issues.
I was really happy when the car was running again, so much in fact that I went completely sideways in an intersection( by accident lol).

Just got done ordering the spacers, should be here mid-next week. Also looking into ordering some footwell lights today too.
Where and when do we want to do compression testing on Saturday? Later in the day would be better for me I think. I am supposed to have a softball game that morning. Not sure what time it is yet.

Adam, did you get a switch installed on your footwell lights? I knew you were looking into wiring them into the 12V cigarette lighter wire and putting a switch there, but wasn't sure of the finished product. I am looking at doing that too. Wanted to order from superbrightled's but their website won't load properly today. lol
I'm looking at doing 6 bars, 2 on each side on the front and 1 under each seat for the back. Then putting a switch in so I can turn them on and off.

We can do the compression test at my house, id rather do it around 11 but later can work.
Cole I got the exhaust from some guy in North St Louis. And also ive had my footwell lights installed for a long time. 6 bars 1 up front 1 on front of seat and 1 on back. And thats on both side. I bought my from superbrightleds.com they are based in earth city so they are local. Also ive had no issues with mine so far and I have a switch hooked up where the front cup holders are.
The exhaust is in decent shape id say. A couple small dents on the canisters and scrapes on the pipe. Ill have to replace the tips and get a small amount of welding done. But after about 100 more dollars is should look great.
With all that said I am gonna sell my HKS Single if I like the sound of this one. I want to get 325 out of it. Its in really good shape other than some scrapes on the bottom parts.

That's what I thought. Did you buy any of the connector wires from SBLED's? Or did you just run all the wires to the switch and then into the power line? I'm an electrical novice, so I am still working through it all. lol
And 11 will probably work. Looks like I don't have a game on saturday.

Messaged you Mike.
I put the ExoticSpeed on today. Id say it fits about a 9/10 since it hasnt been rewelded yet. Im gonna get new tips next week. Also it sounds almost identical to my HKS.
Anyway for those of you coming over to check your compression tomorrow message me if you dont have my address. If you have it see you around 11.

Yes, yes I did; I just woke up late. :D
Anyway, here are the numbers from today's testing (psi). The normalized values are to 250 rpm @ sea level using this compression calculator : http://foxed.ca/index.php?page=rotarycalc (used an input value of 500 ft altitude):
Adam :
Front : 114, 116, 112 @ 260
Rear : 116, 117, 117 @ 258
Normalized:
Front : 116.88, 118.93, 114.83 @ 250
Rear : 119.48, 120.51, 120.51 @ 250
Cole :
Front : 85, 83, 84 @ 260
Rear : 92, 91, 95 @ 260
Normalized:
Front : 87.14, 85.09, 86.12 @ 250
Rear : 94.32, 93.30, 97.40 @ 250
My results from last week:
Front : 99, 97, 105 @ 284
Rear : 101, 104, 104 @ 284
Normalized:
Front : 96.19, 94.25, 102.02 @ 250
Rear : 98.13, 101.05, 101.05 @ 250
Did either of you get any rain and hail after we left? I got caught in a nasty storm just as I got home.

I got hit by hail later. Baseball sized. Honestly surprised I didn't lose my windshield, a few cars around mine did. I have some huge dents in the hood and roof. Back to the body shop I guess.

I honestly wish I would have thought before I pulled into the parking garage. If I let it sit out there the whole time they may have just totaled the car and I wouldn't have had to worry about the low compression engine. lol

Hey guys! I'm a new rx8 owner AND in the stl area. I'm an active member of customfighters.com forums, just so you guys know I'm not a crazy newb that's here to wreak havoc. I am a rx8 newb however. I'm kyler, I live in thE stl area and work IN stl. Have to cross that dang poplar street bridge every morning. Anyways, I'm always up for meeting fellow rx8 owners and going to show and race days, I'd really like to start going to gateway now that it has openEd up again. Also, I got lucky and my 8 was in the garage all day so it missed the hail. Cheers :D

Welcome kyler, hope you enjoy the 8. I'm AJ. The cruise and meet to Como is May 19th and we should be having another StlRxClub meet in early June. I also want to have a seafoam day the weekend after the next.
That sucks about your car being hailed on Cole. I need to find a better place to keep my car next year lol.

Welcome Kyler.
Current meets that are planned are May 19th in Columbia. And also July 7th is the next Rotary Meet. It is at Lake of the Ozarks so its kinda far but it wil be a great meet. People from the Springfield and Joplin areas are also coming.
AJ are you staying down there the night before the 19th? If so I may come down that night if its cool.
May have seen it on STLrx club but I checked my coils today. It turns out my front leading plug was getting no spark. I hope I can see some kind of power increase when I get it replaced.
