That new exhaust looks sick. I have mine straight piped. It is a tad too loud for what i want though. Any suggestions to keep the tone but make it quieter?

I am bringing my woman along for the hang out. She will like the shiny cars lol.

And fuztupnz... saying our roads are as smooth as glass is like saying that 60 grit sand paper would make a lovely set of bed sheets...

So, this is the practice get-together so everyone is ready for the real one after I get home, right?

I have the Magnaflow catback on the wife's car. Kevin can attest to how it sounds, it's stainless but not the good kind that never corrodes. It still looks nice though.

I just added a (+1) for me, I will convince somebody to tag along. Went to Holiday Drive-in last weekend to see Cowboys & Aliens with Transformers - we should all get together for movie night sometime and take the place over, it's a fun little drive-in.

Please let me know any preferences for soft drinks, any body bringing kids?? do we need kids drinks??? water???
If i can get off work that day i will be there +1 as well.

AND i will snag all sorts of chips and snacky sides for everyone!

Ill put the request in tomorrow and see if he agrees with letting me out that day, oh and if not I'll be at my second job at advanced auto parts in newport/southgate kentucky. it would EASILY make my day complete to see the rx8 club roll into my store all fancy like!
PLUS if you need misc jargon for the eight (lights wipers cleaning stuff) come in that day and watch 20% fall right off that total!

It sounds just like a SC'd miata

j/k The magnaflow sounds good on the car chief. It certainly has a proper rotary sound

Be careful with what mufflers you buy. Not a lot of them can stand up to the heat a rotary produces. Flowmaster even says they don't make a muffler that can handle the heat of a rotary. Some custom exhaust sound good, but the muffler packing ends up burning out, or baffling melts and falls out, and it sounds terrible after a while. Just my two cents. The Burns stuff is nice because it's re-packable. Another option is Borla. they make the X1 race muffler in a rotary specific model.

I do believe so. I looked at it while I changed the oil on Sunday and it looked like it was drying up and not particularly wet, but I'll keep you posted when I take a look at it again.

On a side note, I the 8 seems to be a little quicker through the rpm band after the change of fluids, but then again it could just be in my head.

Its almost that time to get some new tires.

Got a quick question. Will 235/40/18 work on the factory style 18inch wheel?

yeah of course. It will be i slight bit taller than stock, so your speedo will be off a hair more than it probably is from the factory, but that's about it. It might be hard to find as it's not a super common size though. 245/40/18 is a common size put on the factory wheels and almost every tire comes in that size.

Was anyone in a red 8 over on Morrow-Rossburg Rd about 8:15 tonight? I was driving by in our CX-7 waiting behind a Duke Energy truck when the 8 went by and turned into a driveway. It sounded like it had an aftermarket exhaust on it. Sounded pretty good.

I would of already had that installed!

I want to get the BHR ignition so damn bad. I loved my Mazsport ignition solution when I had it in my black 8. It made a world of difference.

Do you have any pics of your car, it's my favorite color on an 8!

I really do. Been out here in Scottsdale since April 2010. I miss Ohio like crazy! I miss the snow, the city, family and friends, grass and trees, the cool weather. I just miss it all. I wont be back until Christmas time.

I will get pics up as soon as I can.

I remember when Steve and I got the meets together and planned everything out. Those were the good old days.

Anyone know who owns the silver 8 with the smoked out rear lights around Montgomery?... Had to have been an S2, looked fairly nice. I was at Toots last night and it looked like they must have worked there. Was there when we got there and still there when we left. Just curious, nice looking car.

Not me, but I haven't noticed an 8 there before. I end up going to Sears Hardware about once a week it seems. There is an S1 at Sears that someone who works there owns.

You'll recognize me pretty easily since I got new plates.

ROTA8 (with the Rotary International symbol on it). No front plate for now. I'm thinking of getting some window tint on it and maybe a set of Racing Beat sways. Anyone know a good tint shop in Cincy?
