I'm going to be at Fuel Saturday it appears. I'm supposed to be doing crap around the house preparing for 17 people that afternoon. I hear the ice over in KY is better than OH, so I'll head over to Party Source after Fuel and pick up some ice (beer, wine, whatever).

What time are you guys getting there pre-picnic? I want to get some pics of the 8's if I can.

The rest of you Rotards: I drove 75% of the route today. I have to make a couple of changes due to road closures but it's still gonna be fun.

Please bring $3 with you. They put up a sign posting the prices of the Hamilton County Park passes that wasn't there before. The $3 is just in case a ranger comes by asking for passes. If they don't, we don't have to worry about it. If they show up, the won't care that we're there, they'll just ask us to buy the passes. Previously, the didn't have the sign up, so i wasn't sure if they'd require it. No big deal. For anyone interested, it's $10 for a yearly pass and works at any Hamilton County park.

 

BB8: Remind me saturday, and we can plug my kiwi into your car and i can check for any pending codes to make sure you're cool.

 

Thank you for the condolences guys. It's gonna be a rough weekend. I'm not gonna be able to make it Damn. I got that magnaflow muffler the other day and tried to throw it on. It wouldn't fit because it needs to be an offset inlet. So I gotta send that back and get something else. Running it straight out of the midpipe right now. Sounds like my 8 has a head cold lol.

 

Well it is 2:13 a.m. and I still have ~26 hours of work to do for finals next week. GRRRRRRRR, if I can't get enough tackled by 6 p.m. Friday night I won't be able to go Saturday...20 credits is catching up to me. Now if somebody wants to offer to write a 10 page report on the remediation at Hanford, complete 3 take home finals ranging from physics to calculus then please let me know and maybe I will have a shot. College sucks, I want a real job where I can just say screw it, I take the day off!

 

I am gonna do a custom Y pipe I think and then put in a couple resonators to tone it down... That is... If they will fit...

 

...and the hits just keep on coming. So I went to grab an iced coffee for a long night of school work and as I am sitting at the coffee drive-up I hear a strange rattling sound...at first I thought it was the espresso machine then realized it was coming from Lucy. Clutch in at an idle and it sounds like the infamous quarters in a dryer, clutch out and sounds fairly normal...seriously Lucy?!?! Thinking the damn bearing again in the clutch. WTF? I do know how to drive a stick I swear but this car makes me look like a complete moron, it is like her sole goal in life is to ruin me. Recruiting working rotary cars if you know any... I have NO time this week until Thursday at the earliest to take her in to Kings so I hope she can make it several hundred miles before then. Wonder if that is under warranty at all, I think I have ~10k on this new clutch which was put in this past November. Makes me want to

Gah...motor mounts?!? That sounds expensive...lie to me and say it isn't please.

 

Way cheaper than another clutch. I think they're less than $300 for both. Not sure how much in labor it will be. I don't believe they're terribly hard to do with a lift and the righ tools.

 

So today's the day. I'll be there in spirit.

Side note: Anyone know anything about Motul fluids? I am thinking about using them for my tranny and rear diff since I can get a discount on them at the place I work.

BB8: there are way more roads in NKY to drive that put rt.8 to shame. The S2K club puts on quite a ridge run. Word on the street is that they'll be doing another sometime in september. I'm sure i can get the route from the organizer for our use if we choose to. It's a few hours of driving, with a stop and a really good Buffet for lunch. Totally worth the price of gas.
