Here is a couple more pics, notice the second plate has the coal stuff covered up and used a smoke cover to conceal a little more. I think I would be running a fine line by covering up a license plate in any manner but I don't know. I got some 3M di-noc vinyl in black, so who knows
The cobalt is actually owned by a Louisville cop! Here is what he has to say about it.
i have one for both my cars...i took black electrical tape and taped over the "coal keeps the lights on!" and the friends of coal decal. then i bought a plastic smoke colored cover to place over it. its hard to see the tape but if anyone decides to give me some crap about it, i can just rip off the tape....and no ones needs to post a "lets ask pat" question... i already did.he said it shouldnt be a problem. I know i wouldnt pull anyone over for it in louisville but every department is different. But its all about officer discretion
If anything, I could probably get away with covering the yellow saying on the bottom and then smoke cover it. dunno, what do you guys think?

Not looking good for Fuel. Got most of the step done tonight but still need to screw down the threads and face boards. Paint is still in the can so maybe I can get a coat on after I get back from Fuel and maybe have a little shade.
Drinking Moerlein OTR now so maybe I won't be able to get up in the AM.

Thanks Mike, hopefully everything won't fall off in a couple weeks
Thinking of going back to the +42 275/35/18 or similar setup when these tires where out/get chewed up. I miss the precise handling and quick steering of my old 285/30 Hankooks, but I don't miss the low chassis height and probably would have destroyed this body kit already. Looking at the bright side, at least I won't have to worry about any rubbing, since I already cut, rolled, and rubbed everything away in the wells

Made it to Savannah without missing the turnoff I did last year, that was a big plus with Robyn. Unfortunately the same boost tube came loose on the Speed on the way here. I thought about bringing some tools just in case but thought it would be fine as I hadn't seen any boost spikes since I fixed it. Sears run tomorrow!
What was your gas mileage down there Mike? Last time I did a Hilton Head/Savannah run, I think my Speed got around 25-27 with a high of 28.
Wish the 8 got at least 25 on the highway. 21.8 going to M-O.

this is the site i go to see how it would fit.
put 225/45-18x8.0 ET 50 (correct me if i'm wrong)
and then put different wheel size and you'll see how it compares.

I missed responding to the seafood/seafoam comment. lol. That's the last time I comment from my damn phone. I'm hoping I can get my *** out of bed and get to fuel this weekend.
Truva - definatly be careful with width but equally important is going to be the offset. What are you looking at getting?

I'm planning on going to Fuel, but can't stay late.
Let's toast coffee together to honor the last day (well, it's bit passed.. but oh well) of the rotary production, and hope for the next generation RE will be back soon.

We were supposed to head home today, but plans changed yesterday due to an unforeseen glitch. So it's another night here in Savannah and head for home tomorrow. I'll be at Fuel next week, hopefully with the beastly Miata.
I'm out as well, have a lot of things going on this weekend and next in the early hours. Mazdax3, catback exhaust is overrated and overpriced anyway, your not missing anything. Maybe gutting your cat will net you a few more decibles of sound but
I can run over a goose I guess. Almost took out a couple last night.
I stopped by fuel on Wednesday after working hoping a few 8's would be there but it was nothing but Scoobies
I would be up there this weekend, but I'm going on a huge poker run on the R6. Motorcycle takes priority over car lol. If you go up next saturday let me know and we can roll up together like we talked about.

I was out tonight and the wife and I ran across a jewel of an RX8 that was stick so we passed. It is super clean and not a scratch or ding anywhere! Price seems high for a 2004, but you really don't find them in this shape and fully loaded too. 56k miles!
If anyone wants an RX8 in Cincy they need to check this one out.
