What up man? Yeah, mine's stored for the winter. I miss driving it already. All the salt on the road scares me tho.

 

Yeah all the salt scares me too. Luckily i have an unlimited car wash pass at a local car wash, so whenever i get salt on her i can wash it right off. Hows the new Sonata treatin ya?

 

It's good man, thanks. Nothing like the 8 but the gas mileage is great, comfortable ride and super quiet inside. Wow I just rhymed a lot.

That's good to hear though! Gas mileage would be nice... I do a lot of city driving and so far for winter im averaging 14.5-15 mpgs..

 

Is anyone going to the Vegas meet in may? Haven't really seen very many responses on the slcrotary page. I'm going for sure! Hope more SLC ppl join too..

 

I know this is off topic, but I just wanted to let everyone know that my baby girl arrived Christmas morning, weighing in at 5 lbs 12 oz, 20 inches long. My 8 is in new hands, but thankfully those hands belong to one of my best friends that told me I can come take her anytime I'd like.

Ehh i probably wont be going... I'm only 19 and don't really drink or anything. I was talking to some people at Sevenstock about it and they said it gets pretty crazy. But im still undecided.

 

Not sure about the Salt Lake area, but Alpine is a really good body shop in Ogden.

 

Not to thread jack or anything, but i currently have my rx8 for sale I didn't think this day would come, but i decided that college is more important and can't afford the payments, insurance and gas. So if you know someone that is looking for a well kept rx8 hit me up!

As far as Vegas goes, there really isn't too many people that are even remotely thinking about going.. I'm going to go for sure, I have a friend that lives there..

I went to the Vegas meet in '10 and had a blast. Highly recommended. My brother lives there so I always visit him and my neice when in town.
The bad news is, it's looking like a killer work schedule shaping-up this spring. We take our vacations between contracts, whenever that happens, so it's impossible to plan ahead.

Right now I'm thinking that we won't be going this year.

With the death of the local 8 club, we don't have even close to the social scene we used to have. Too many people sold their 8's and moved-on.

We dropped below the "critical mass".

 

For a body shop I go to unique auto body, for anything I can't do to my car I just go to the dealer.

I might be going to Vegas, we'll see how much money I have around that time, will be a last minute decision.

Ebay is hiring as well and I hear they do tuition reimburstment.

 

My employer does 100% tuition reimbursement (if it's something related to the company) and mileage. They paid for my Solidworks 3D design certificate a couple of years ago (2 semesters).

Unfortunately, we aren't hiring at the moment.

Just remember that if you work, you gotta go to school at hours that don't conflict with your work schedule. Some employers are pretty good about flexible hours, some aren't. You may not get work hours that allow you to take the classes you are interested-in. It can be a double-edged sword.
