I did my turbo myself, except a couple of welds (done by friends) and the tuning which was done with the accessport by Mazdamaniac.

Mine is yellow. I wish there was more Rotary activity in the area.. Like rotary specific meets.

 

The rotary specific meets get set up very sporadically on slcrotary.com, but it's usually a once a year BBQ. Needs a lot more activity though.

Yea you told me about SLC rotary before I moved out here (im pretty sure) and also Utah Mazdas. SLC Rotary is usually so dead I dont even check it anymore. And just use Utah Mazdas frequently.

I've got the MS dual-can exhaust and MS CAI. Not too loud with an easy foot on the pedal, just right, but it howls when you stomp on it.

 

It's mostly 7-oriented at slcrotary and most of those guys have known each other for years and years. There's probably more phone activity between them than website posts.
Seems like there aren't enough 8s around anymore to make up a significant percentage of membership.

I sure miss those meets we used to have with slcrx8, before half the members lost their 8s, sold them, or moved away.

If you guys want to try and resurrect some meets for 8 owners, I'm up for giving it a try. We could start with maybe a coffee session, looking under Mike's hood. The only turbo'd 8 in the area, AFAIK.

I Just ordered the paint and then they will be going on And I am catless with AP mid pipe and catback. I try not to be a dick and keep it quiet through neighborhoods, but when I drive under a overpass I roll down the windows and mute the radio and just listen to the music the exhaust makes lol.

 

Any one over 40 has a little arthritis........

 

It's strange at times. Some days I wake up feeling like I've been beaten with baseball bats by a pro football team, and some days (like today), I feel pretty good. Taking a couple of good pain relievers before bedtime, even if not in pain, often makes the next morning a lot more tolerable.

And getting old sure beats the alternative, right?

 

Haha, that's what I do! Roll-back the sunroof, open all the windows, and scream through the overpass! My wife knows to expect it now, even if it's cold outside.

I go to car and coffee on Saturday mornings, but that's usually too early for most. Name a time/place and I'll be there. I have no problem driving.

 

Well I might just put it back on when the time comes, but my car is a 2007 so 2014 is not an emissions year for my 8. and normally i just go to jeffy lube and get it done and when they check emissions they just plug into the ECU and if there is no cel for the emissions portion they pass it lol so i have to order the Mazdamaniac AP and get rid of my cel for no cat.

Well I got my eyelids painted they look great, thanks Jethro Tull!

 

I have to wait for the paint to set so i will post a picture of them installed tomorrow but here is the before and the painted lid's.

 

I have not been to an official 8 club meet in like 10 months. Lets do it.

 

Eye lids installed and I love them! The eye lids turns 4x more heads lol I also plasti diped all of my rims black It was pretty easy to do and they turned out a lot better then i thought they would.

 

Looks nice! I found my Rmagic eyelids pre painted (used). One of my favorite visual upgrades. Love the used parts thread!
