yea -- i'd rather not discuss it...

As for the update on shipping times -- I spoke to Scott and he expects to have it shipping around labor day or so. End of Aug. Early Sept.

Trust me when i say, he's working on it and he's working like a dog...!!!

Keep up the hard work Scott!!!

What's the latest with the testing and dyno numbers for the normally aspirated cars?

considering xynthax pulled 188whp on a mustang dyno (probably equivalent to 210-220 whp on a dynojet, I would expect the same.

I would like to see how consistent that dyno is before I have faith in those numbers. It was a great pull, however gaining 43whp from the revi, ram duct, and canzoomer is a stretch.

Personally, I expect to see the gains come with porting and the associated correctly setup add ons. I am not sure there is a whole lot in the stock setup. I thought Xyntax made those gains with a turbo? Big difference.

Yeah, big difference but I would not celebrate just yet. Remember, I was the only RX-8 who dynoed there. Stock ones may have dynoed close to my power, which could tell us that their dyno was just giving higher numbers than EIP. I'm gonna have to organize another dyno day at EIP just to confirm this gain. Personally, it feels fast and smooth. But the numbers on EIP's mustang dyno would only confirm the best gains for my setup.

He was probably close to getting some $, but I'm guessing the top 8 were in the money.

Sounds like another week or 2 for release due to a mistake with the manufacturer. Scott indicated that he was working on a few upgrades for the initial release while he waits for the mfg. (data logging, reading stock wideband O2, etc.) Also indicated that the knock sensor issue is being resolved.

Also sounds like the GReddy turbo upgrade mod is ready. How does 325 rwhp sound :D I am sure Scott will post new dyno video once he is ready.

I asked about N/A kit and he sounds comitted to making it happen -- just needs some time to roll out the turbo kit to free up the 20 to 30 hours it will take to get it right.

Coming the very end of the month (29th and 30th).

I am debating right now whether to do the turbo upgrade now or wait til winter.

Sorry for the confusion :o I'm going to MN at the end of the month. Expecting the Interceptor to arrive in time to get installed prior to my trip (Scott said that was no problem) -- I expect realistic delivery is late in the week of 9/19 -- just my guestimate.

Do you know what psi thta is at? My turbo is currently there getting the upgrade. It would be nice if that 325whp was available at only 10psi, but I'm not sure how realistic that is.

I thought max boost was at 12 for a small part of the power band.

What does the turbo upgrade consist of?

From what I know Scott replaces the turbine and also reworks the inlet path so it isn't a 90 degree angle. He grinds that bit off and welds on a mandrel bent pipe to give smoother air flow.

In general a lot of the Greddy piping has right angle bends which can't be good for flow characteristics. Unfortunately space can be tight so I don't know how much of that can be replaced with mandrel bent stuff.

last i heard from him he was keeping the turbine and the compressor and only replacing the compressor housing...my guess would be something close to a 20g housing, maybe larger. less 90 degree bends would be great too, although we already have a nice right angle coming in and going out of the rotor housing :-/

From what I heard (and was told about my upgrade), PURNRG seems to be on the right path in terms of explanation.
