Remanufactured Rotary engines!!
We also have engines in stock for some RX7 models now as well. We can presently take on some of the more trick projects that some may have envisioned as the race season has ended for our builder.

gorgeous.
Hey Paul, since you all are rebuilding the engines and jazz and offering performance engines, what kind of output do you think we could see with a Renny that has lightweight rotors and maybe..a street port? Just an idea. Or you have a better suggestion? Just trying to get numbers. :D

That's a good question. I'd prefer not to take weight out of these rotors if I could avoid doing so. We're still assessing what stresses they'll stand for what periods. We've run a street ported motor on the engine dyno with ports very similar to stock renesis, renesis rotors and ceramic seals. It made about 260 hp and 170 lbs/ft torque; it all depends. There's more than that to be had under the right conditions but there are many tuning factors to consider as well. We could build you the most trick unit known to man and if you don't have all the complimentary equipment you could actually lose power.

ah hell... a day late to boot. I;m in the market for a new engine. In the last week, I've had a mysterious knocking return with greater intesity... the car is now only pulling 14" of vaccum, and to top it off, I just noticed the front seal is leaking now... only 68k on her. When i took it in to the dealer for the first time the knocking noise was present, my warranty was voided after the 3rd trip back... basically, I got a "sorry, dont know what it is, but your aftermarket parts did it so we wont work on it anymore and we are voiding your warranty." bugger. shipping run in the 150-200 range i assume?

My mechanic said that they are dropping the crossmember along with the engine and sending the whole thing back to the reman facility. Why would they want the cross member I wonder??
I'm working on trying to decarbon my engine this week. I really do not want to give up on it yet.

Me again!
Mazda refused a reman for a car with lower compression than me today. They said that the car has to not start now to get the reman. Looks like you might have business coming in the future from people that get declined.
Wonder why they are getting stingy again? Lots of us '04 are nearing the 75K odometer milepost these days.

that's good news for Paul but I think your dealership is feeding you a line of B.S.
I haven't heard anything about Mazda requiring the car not to start before they'll replace the engine.
I'll call a buddy of mine at Mazda to see if he's heard anything. Maybe Zoom can look into this?
