Also, I might add, that it's now drivable, is pretty awsome, and I'm done with messing with it and thank you MM.

ok.. I finally figured out what my problem is with my car.. I picked up new coils. and it still seemed to studder.. I needed new coils anyways. well. I tried a different intake.. and it fixed my studdering problem! Now I just have to finish the tune and i'm done.. woo!
marcux, thanks for sharing! I was having the same problem and couldn't do my WOT logs.

I have the greddy turbo intake inside the stock air box. Back when I installed the BHR ignition coils, I removed the inside plastic shield/screen. Everything seemed fine until I got the Accessport, so I couldn't imagine that this was causing problems. After reading your posts, I decided to reinstall the screen. I couldn't believe it, but it completely solved my issues!!

WOT logs complete! Cruise log remaining. My car is running very well, though I haven't gone above 4lbs. Can't wait to get 4_0_2!!

very awsome, just get rid of the airbox all together and move the intake to the bumper area. I ended up using 3.5" dia all the way and it worked. I don't know why the greddy kit has the hot air being sucked from the hot engine bay, when it's just as easy to make it suck air from the front bumper

Still nothing.
Believe me, the instant '09 compatibility is available, I'll make an anouncement.

It is way more important to me than it is to you! lol

Looking forward to it, you'll probably have a repeat customer here.

Is there any progress toward it? Or just stuck somewhere?

Typical development cycle from Cobb as view by me (and the other dealers):

Day 1: "Yeah, that's a great idea. We'll get right on that!"
Day 2: "We're working on it. We'll let you know when something is available."
Day 3: "Still working on it. We'll let you know."
.
.
.
Day 137: "Still working on it. We'll let you know."
Day 138: Someone from RX-8Club sends me a PM or e-mail letting me know that Cobb has announced (on some part of their WEB site) that they have implemented said idea without telling me (since day 120 or so).

Well, when I did my wot run datalog my boost controller recorded a max psi of 11.2 on the greddy turbo. I checked my wastegate, and it seemed to be working. usually I cap at 7-8 psi. I guess the wastegate hole isn't big enough for wot.. lol. no knocking or anything. is 11.2 safe on the greddy as long as I have the fueling for it? I assume if my wastegate wasn't working it would have been higher right? Felt pretty kickass personally.

If you have the fueling any boost would be ok. 11psi on the GReddy is really hot and not sure if the GReddy will spool that high for long. Mechanically I guess it's possible but def something I would fix rather soon

Probably just a spike at 5k or so.
Data logs are more useful that observations.
AFRs in the low 11's are perfectly safe.

Did another log last night so I can bring them on my trip. What is the reason the a/c and lights have to be on during the logging? Tried doing a WOT log last night but traffic was too busy so the logs suck.

It helps ensure that the car goes into open loop. (Higher load.)

Ok. I'll do a few more to get everything how it is during everyday driving. After reading the Turbo Cobb tuning thread I learned more about the STFT. Mine at idle are -5.96 to 0.94 in no particular order. The jump around a lot. Under load my LTFT is -0.16 as are my STFT. If I understand those right then I assume that is the reason for my slight idle jump? Still haven't put in a screen.

STFT in the +/-5% range is meaningless. Its an instantaneous value.
+/- 5% for LTFT is totally acceptable (we would like zero).
Negative is better than positive.
+/- 24% is the maximum. +/- 12% is where I begin to "worry".

Just checking myself as well.

Why is it every time I go out, someone is trying to race me.. gah.

I turned on my meth kit to cool the charge while I wait for a new tune. It goes through gas like crazy..

Seriously, Heading onto the connector, I had a thunderbird swerving back and forth on my ***, and then a wrx pulled up beside me and started taunting me.. they must have known each other since they were talking at the light. then they yelled back and told me to get a real car.. grr I should have just smoked them, but I didn't want to mess with my tune yet since i've seen a 12.6 afr at wot. and blowing an engine isn't worth 2 asses..

Another question, I've seen boost as high as 11.2 on the greddy, will that max my fuel injectors? or will the stock handle anything the greddy can dish out?

Hrm, I wonder how much rwhp I'm around at 11.2 psi

Jeff I sent you an email the 28th of may about my bumpy idle problem. The question was simply if we should pause the calibration process until I have replaced plugs, wires and coils.

I don't intend to go aftermarket on any of those items, just replacing the old ones with new fresh. I figure we should pause the calibration until that is done, but since I have not gotten a reply I figured it was better to ask and be certain.

I'll tell you what, a Chrysler 300M is no match for 8! Boy, was that guy pissed. I bet that would be last time he yells, "Get a real car!" LMAO.

Hey MM, sorry to bother, when will the next batch of tunes go out? just curious, I saw a few 12.7 afr's in my WOT log. I didn't want to drive too much until I get a tune from you. I sent out on the 1'st and got a recieved on the 2nd.
