my car is an AT so i was thinking SC since i get the power off the line vs the turbo, but again i might be wrong .
MM developed the AP tuning for the A/T and for the Petitt S/C (Cobb was not interested in the A/t). He will be adjusting my tune shortly at the So Cal Dyno days. I have had the supercharger since Petitt first put it up for sale and was the first kit done away from the Petitt shop. Installation by BHR and all tuning by MM.

Jeff - Sorry if this has been answered, but I've been searching this forum tooth and nail and can't really find a clear answer other then the Cobb AP being discontinued for the RX8.

If I could find a Cobb AP for the RX8 would you be able to create a calibration for me? I've got a 2010 RX8 R3 MT. It is a Canadian model, not sure if that matters? Do you have any Cobb AP's left?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott

No; series 2 owners look elsewhere, or wait for something else.

Question:

I'm at 4.0.2 now waiting for a 4.0.3 tune, would it be a pain in the *** now to add a rb midpipe?
I would need a new subscription to do that right?

I'm fairly sure this has been brought up before, and if I recall the answer was something along the lines that since it's after the engine (exhaust), the tune has no effect; thereby it does not matter.

Midpipe shouldn't have any effect on the tune.

A similar question:

I currently use the Racing Beat REVi intake + air duct. I'm contemplating the change back to the stock intake box (with removed baffles), but would continue using the air duct with a proper coupler (probably by hacking up a VFAD). The only other relevant mod I have is the BHR ignition and the dwell is adjusted for this in the tune.

Jeff said at the time of the tuning that doing this intake swap will require a new tune. How bad or detrimental is it to keep using the current tune that was done with the REVi installed? Is it really noticeable or just not 100% optimal?

Thoughts?
If anyone happened to do such a swap, that'd be great to hear about.

Thanks.

You should re-do the tune.
However, there is always the chance that it will randomly line up and be OK.
Only logs will tell.

Thanks Jeff... now what I wonder about is how bad is it to run the car with the "new" intake setup but with the tune for the REVi. Considering the wait time needed to get a new tune, this may easily be several weeks or more, and I don't want to mess up my car.
I'd rather like to avoid having to do the swap, pull logs and then reinstall the REVi until the new tune is done

Hey Jeff,

I sent an email about my 4.01 log and haven't heard anything back from you guys. We had a minor discussion about it in the GReddy Turbo Owners thread but I figure I might be able to get your attention here without going off topic in that other thread.

Anyway I sent my first data logs in on October 20th and recieved confirmation on October 22nd that everything looked good. I recently said I was still waiting for my 4.01 log, which I have not recieved yet, and you said that you had no tunes in your queue from that long ago. I was just wondering if you had found anything out about my missing data or if I should resubmit my initial logs? My email address is Jesse.Aumiller@usask.ca if that helps with the email situation. Thanks!

Hey guys I was wondering about the whole theory on disabling the DSC. I have the AP from MM. My car recently skid into the curb due to the icy roads. I fixed the damages already and now my traction control/the light comes on and occasionally stays on. I really want to get my car tuned but was wondering if it is okay if the light stays on and the traction control is disabled. Would it be better for tuning from MM or dyno tuning? I know that some people pull their fuses or press and disable the dsc for better results. Does it matter if this function is disabled and I get tuning from MM?

Thanks

The best thing is to have MM tune your car on a dyno. I do not think MM can turn off DSC lights only CEL.

My AP hang in the middle of road trip. So I unplug and plug it back. After a blink, it remain blackout for 2 days already. I would like to ask if any way I can fix it or the only way is to send it back to cobb. Thanks.

That has been an issue that has popped up before.

Send it in for service.
