It is possible I might be lame, but I'm pretty sure I put '06 federal maps on your AP.
Tell me what the identification window says when you first try to install.

Success!!!

flash: MM 2006_7 MT NA v1_1a

STFT: -1 to 1
LTFT: idle 5: light load 0!!!
AFRs as they should be more or less,
idle 14.7-15.1
WOT 3rd gear pull showed high 12s through high 13s, dropping all the way to 11.9 in a spot or two in the middle of the torque band.
cruise: upper 14s to low 15s

car feels super smooth and idles much better especially with the A/C on!!!

sent from my Voyager

Update after quite a few more miles(for one night at least):

Idle STFT = 0 LTFT ~ 3
light load/cruise STFT = 0 to 4 LTFT ~ 2
Full load/WOT LTFT ~ 0
AFR's seem to be holding steady

other notes... saturday i removed the screens i had in front of the oil coolers and lower lip and saw temps in SOME conditions drop avg of 10 degrees F... temps are consistently 10-15 degrees F lower now under ALL conditions after the flash

a couple more cold/hot drive cycles to be seen tomorrow. now back to using scangauge2 to monitor load/STFT/LTFT/water temp

cobb doesn't have a datalogger at this time.

Popular choices:

- Scanalyzer (my personal favorite)
- EfiDude

depending on your STFT after you load it, you'll add or subtract Fuel trim. (see the link above, maps add or subract by 2% intervals)

watch AFR's with every map, make sure it's not too high (above 14 at WOT) OR not too rich (11)

ehhh, i knew it was coming, lol

shoulda known better.

You start with the mild flash ("MM 2004 MT NA v1_0", "MM 2004 MT TURBO v3_0", etc.) that is appropriate for your car and then monitor the fuel trims on the AP. Once they are established, you look on the provided matrix for the appropriate sub-flash ("1a", "3b", etc), install it and watch the fuel trims again. Once the trims are accurate, you can then work your way up the tree to the more aggressive calibrations using the proper sub-flash number to get the trim level right.
the part in bold is where i am confused... my trims are stabilized, although i am gonna run it for longer to monitor. but i am confused on how to work my way up the tree... the STFT@idle only applies to the FIRST flash, so what are my cue's as to what to move to next, right?

fwiw, not that i need to, i am still a lil rich in a spot or two, but content even with that

cool beans. just had me a lil confused there.

so to get it right....

users follow your directions using the idle STFT to choose their map. then they monitor trims and AFR's. if all is good, thats it. if they are rich/lean they need to contact MM for adjustment and NOT choose new maps?

Don't even really monitor your trims.
Just watch AFR.
If its not right, let me know and take note of your trims when you do.
Thats it.

The GTO reborn...

It doesn't need Cobb, it needs diet pills weighing in at 4100lbs! Its like the Pontiac version of the charger.
Same weight, same hp, same 1/4 mile
