Saying the Acadians split up is a bit of an understatement however. We were departed wholesale by the brits. And when we were kicked out, it wasn't like we all came here. Ships landed all over the east coast and some of them made it Louisiana.
I think I got my enemies screwed up because I remember my grandfather telling me of some of the history he lived through, mainly the attempted stamping out of French in Louisiana when he was growing up. But of course that wouldnt have been by the hands of the french themselves lol...

And Andrew Jackson pulled a similiar stunt before he was president by rounding up all the native americans around Alabama, Tennessee, etc. in the "trail of tears", and walking them all the way to Oklahoma! The ones that lived that was.
Living then was not pretty unless you were the priviliged few who were good with exploits or genocide!

I need to get my brakes done sometime... not sure how this weekend is looking for me though. I think I should be free but I've been fairly busy lately so still not certain.
