I have some knicks on my front lip and I have damaged a cross member but that's mostly to my stupidity. The cross member damage happened at 2MPH in a drivethru. But I mainly don't have an issue and just drive defensively, constantly watching the road. But then again I have not really owned a car that has not been lowered.

I've been racing for 8 years. I say racing, not just autocrossing, because I've done a season of break-out bracket drag racing and a few track days.

We have events every month, except maybe December or January, depending on our year-end.

There's a club meeting tonight for SASCA. Anyone is welcome, members and non-members. Details: 7:30 pm EZ's on 281 and Bitters.

Sounds good. Can we incorporate a little run that day as well or is that asking for too much. I don't get this kind chatter/participation in el paso.

Should have my car by then... but can't do any runs for a bit because I need to put on about 500 city miles of break in. The tune should be pretty spot on, but still need to get some logs to double check.

Well, I guess it wont take me too long to put the miles on it... but I'm not sure if I can burn through that much gas that quickly lol.

Your car at break in speed should be able to pass us, haha.

So I just realized a minor problem... anyone have any potential solutions for this?

The car doesn't have plates on it. It might be a week or so before I can register the car but I'm going to need it for getting around and I can't just keep paying for rental. I think you have to transfer title in the county of either the seller or buyer, so that means I'll have to register it in the houston area since that's my permanent address.

My only idea so far is to use my g/f's plates... she still has her old plates so I could throw those on for a short bit and it wouldn't be much of a problem cause I can't do anything too stupid during the break in period anyways. At the same time, I'd imagine that using someone else's plates would be a pretty hefty ticket in the event I did get pulled over and if there's any chance she'd get in trouble, then there's no way I'd feel comfortable doing that.

I could also have it inspected here and then have my dad do the registration...

Any other ideas?

Thanks. Got a chance to just call the county DMV and ask about that situation and they have a couple options that are fairly simple and cheap lol.

1) Single trip plate: Basically good for driving from point A (DMV) to point B (inspection) in order to proceed with registration. $5

2) 30 plate: gives 30 days to take care of w/e... $25.

Probably just going to do the 30 day plate and take care of everything when I have the chance... much easier than having to do all of that right off the bat.

Received good news today! The car will ship tomorrow so it should only be a few more days till I can drive. They said I should be fine to hit a little boost during break in which is really exciting lol.

TEXAS MILE

WREX,

I went to pick up a nitrous fitting from Fuel Injection Specialists here in town and the owner and I were talking and she reminded me of this event. They are going to have a customers car out there, it's a C6 Corvette with twin turbos and a dual stage nitrous setup. This car did 212MPH last year.

We need to set this up, I would love to attend.

Also,

Who is down for Biff's tonight?
