Well, my trip got cancelled. The deal my dad's group was working on was pretty much finished and then a bunch of issues came up. Then the earthquake stuff popped up the next day so that added even more complications. Looks like we're rescheduling for summer sometime.
The brake brackets come in on Monday. Depending on how things are looking, I might try to make it back in town in time to install that before class starts up again, but that might be a bit of a squeeze. CEL is back, but that's to be expected since I know for sure the O2 behind the cat is bad. No running issues have popped up so far... seems to be running a bit better than before if anything. Found someone more local (UTSA area) with the vag-com so I can get some logs. Sounds like he doesn't know how to use it, but I think I can probably figure that out... seems like something that should be fairly user friendly, especially if you're a little tech-savvy.

Eh, I'm just glad to have a break from all the school stuff.. definitely needed it. The issues came on Wednesday and then all the earthquake stuff happened too. That added some complications to his deal, but also potentially quadrupled the value of the cargo. The nuclear plants being down caused a spike in demand and market value for the natural gas. He kind of feels bad because they're seeing that much profit as a result of the disaster, but it's not like his group dictates market price, so it's just an unfortunate scenario I guess.
I agree about the name vag-com... I really don't know how how you're supposed to say it, but I always end up saying "vaj". I've said "vag scanner" a few times and wonder how someone would react if they were unaware of what I was actually talking about. Another guy offered help that has a lot of experience with the device/software, so I'll probably end up getting help from him. He said he's near I-10 outside of 1604, though didn't specify which side...

Cool we live in converse just a few minutes up the road to biffs...ya gonna be back in time to go to the state meet?
Brake brackets arrived and are not split like the ones on my car... having looked at it in person, it makes sense that the issue would arise where it did, but I'm still a little surprised they split like that.
Nice. Good thing you got rotors before they failed miserably.
