Strange that, going against common design of centering as much weight as possible, they put the caliper forward of the axle, not aft.

On the positive side, the curved shaped vanes in the rotors certainly are stylish!

Don't think so...here's what is behind...you can just make it out....looks like (surprise!) only a radiator.

The Shinari will not be seen at the Paris Motor Show (GoAuto)..

Remember this is a concept, much of the bits will not make the light of day in a "Production Model", like door handles (safety), exhaust tips looks a bit close to body (heat burns) etc..

But by crickey this is a Fantastic Start..even though it has Hyundai influence.

Audi A4 is 110.6 and BMW 335i is 108.7 so I guess this is geared more towards these cars. Would not have expected that but then again cars are getting bigger.

F3X 3 series will most likely be getting longer.
Don't really like that fact, but it's bound to happen, for at least the sedan.

How bout this for a before and after. The longer one would be a new Mazda MX6 with a turbo six making around 320 hp. With a weight of under 3400 lbs this would be nice. Aftermarket would be phenomonal.
The smaller one could be an RX8, of course lighter weight, turboed 16x.

I would be more interested in the larger car with a turbo 6. A poor mans Aston Martin

I'm digging the brake light on the roof. Not sure I'd like on my car but it looks cool in the picture.

The rear of the car is sexy as hell.

Nothing wrong w/the Hyundai influence....not only is the buying public lapping their cars up....but they've seemingly done an upmarket move (from a far lower point than Mazda) and further - expanded their lineup above Mazda's (Genesis) and are making a creditable go of it it would seem.

Nothing like having the bank acct full of profit to subsidize that Sports Car development! Maybe, just maybe... Mazda can do the same!

The design looks great and I love what the 7club guys are doing with it. Hope Mazda retains as much as possible. That white "super coupe" concept just looks hot. Here's a blank check Mazda, where do I sign?

I really hope Mazda puts some solid future-proof power-plants in their cars though. The RX8 is fast in a usually unreachable way (on the street). I know I have yet to push my suspension anywhere near its limits. In all honesty after owning an RX8, if this new RXX comes out and still weighs about 3K lbs and doesn't even have 300 bhp and is NA, not even remotely interested. I mean I like styling as much as the next guy, but $30K (MINIMUM cuz god knows how much this new style and tech will cost) for good handling and looks isn't enough for me. I think a factory turbo is going to be the deal breaker for me whether I stick with Mazda or move onto something else. I hate having to pay $100 per horsepower when it comes to upgrades like you do with the 8 and I think a factory turbo would eliminate that. A turbo 16X, 2-door, ~25 mpg highway, great handling and competitive quarter mile times for $35K would be hard for me to walk away from.

^ If you put 18's on instead of the 21's I take it? Why would you do that?
