So the SRT-4 right now is not on your list of Chryslers you would drive. Period. MOUSE TRAP.
I can speak from 25,000+ miles of first hand, trouble free, modified driving experience that the SRT-4 is a well made vehicle. I sold mine last week and replaced it with an '05 Evo RS. I was just looking for a better balance of power and handling. My '04 SRT-4 was a blast though. I lowered it, removed the spoiler, and slapped on a bunch of Mopar go fast mods and I loved it! If $20k were my budget and performance was my priority I don't know if there is even a close second...maybe the Cobalt SS, Ion Redline, or Nissan Spec. But I've owned a Spec V too and test driven the an Ion Redline (same powerplant as the Cobalt SS) and neither of those cars come anywhere close to the acceleration of the SRT-4. I would buy an SRT-4 all over again if that was my budget. No doubt about it.

That's your right. In the meantime the SRT-4 owners of the world will keep their bumpers shined up nice and bright so you can clearly see your reflection. :D

The contrapositive is then: If you would not drive another car over the first car, then you feel the other car is not better. I would not drive the Neon SRT-4 over a few alternatives because I feel the SRT-4 is not better than those alternatives. You wrote that you would have a hard time passing up on the SRT-4 at around $20,000. So you would buy the Neon SRT-4 but you wouldn't be proud to drive it? You'd rather not drive it but you would own it? LOL. Go figure.

You also qualified "performance." Um ok. Do you own an RX8 over the alternatives? What about all the other considerations that most people who are not high school students would consider? With that, I can tell you I would rather have a Scion tc, Mazda 3 sedan, Honda Civic sedan old and new that hasn't come out yet, and Accord sedan with the 4 cylinder can be around the range as well. Not only could I pass up on the SRT-4 but under no circumstances- not even if they offered 300 HP, would I ever be caught in an SRT-4 or a Cobalt SS unless it was a rental car.

Let me restate again what I said earlier. How could you drive the SRT-4 without feeling at least a little embarrassed or uneasy unless you're a high school student? I can see someone picking the 350Z over the RX8 because of HP. But you would really drive the SRT-4 primarily because of the HP/performance? You really couldn't pass it up?

I detect a mismatch in your follow-up post. I think you got excited and had to post the thing about the SRT-4 and its performance being hard to pass up. However, I don't believe you yourself would jump to buy it, regardless of the alternatives. Would you actually jump to buy it? LOL. Like reading a children's book.
Dude, you are such a snob it’s not even funny.

I would be proud of any car I could pay for myself, if all I could afford was a $20K SRT then I would be proud of that cause I would have worked for it and paid for it myself. Apparently this is not an option in your elitist little world.

You mistook my earlier post about the thread on members people dislike or whatever, I wasn't supporting you; yours was the only name posted there in that thread.

Reading all your meandering drivel here, you post some ludicrous statement or topic, supposedly as a question, then jump all over anyone who bothers to answer, seems very troll like to me.

FRIEND'S DON'T FRIEND'S DRIVE FORDS. Although I admit, I'd take an 03-04 Cobra , or the Gt, but that's about it.

In fact it is the other way around. Reread everything...of the original 3 threads, but that's been spliced into 1 thread now. Again, it is a fact that I was attacked first. Thanks.
