Gotta agree with you Ike. Looks like someone is trying to steal your title as King Troll... :D

So you would actually drive that car proudly? Only a high school kid could even fathom that.

That car was brought up by Aratinga. And it is like a compilation of **** pieces here and there, like a screwed up "audiophile" CD from Sheffield Labs. The car is a marketing ploy and, like the Bugatti, may never be completed. The exterior design is an absolute mess. It's a shambles. It's worse than that Maserati race car.

That car was never completed and never ran the times it was supposed to run. Even your thread shows what a total exterior and interior mess that car is.

They built two of them. Aratinga saw it on the track at Laguna Seca.

The anticipation is killing me... Why don't you go play with your fanboi friends in another section of the forum, we like car enthusiasts in general automotive.

GM cars I would consider owning

The following is a list of GM cars I would actually consider owning:

1. C6 and Z06 Corvettes
2. Cadillac XLR
3. Saturn Sky and possibly Pontiac Solstice
4. Cadillac CTS and CTS-V
5. Pontiac GTO
6. maybe maybe a Hummer H2

So much for me being a troll and so much for Ford and Chrysler. There is more excitement going on in GM, which I can hardly believe myself.

I do like the looks of the 06 Pontiac Solstice coming out this summer. The Solstice doesn't look like a GM car at all, so it makes me wonder where it actually came from. It looks like a BMW. I personally love it, but currently have a hard time accepting it's a Pontiac. I'm looking to replace RX8 in a couple years with a convertible or roadster. I'm praying there will be an RX8 convertible, but if not, this could be an option if the price is right.

Looks like most everybody but "you" on this forum.

I haven't seen any supporters of yours chime in.

I have owned, and still do own a Chrysler product, and I can tell you they are by no means the best put together vehicles, but they are not $^&*Boxes either.I currently own a 1992 Dodge Ram 250 with a Cummins turbo diesel, and a 5 speed. It is the old square body style, and doesn't look like much with its old man hub caps, and aluminum cap,but I can tell you it is a torque monster.I would love to roll up next to the OP in my Old man truck a lay a huge cloud of diesel smoke all over you(preferably with windows down). My truck is no rocket ship, but in 4th and 5th gears when the boost is at 30lbs and the smoke is rolling I can't think of another truck I would want.At 226,000 miles and a dyno proven 210 wheel horse power, and over 500 ftlb's of torque when the factory rating is 160 horse flywheel, and 400 torque I would say I have gotten my moneys worth, and then some. All of that from a lowly Chrysler product with a plastic grille.

Before you go spouting off on one car maker you should realize that there are probably people on each forum that have owned or still do own those products, and did/do still like them. There is no such thing as a perfect car/truck,but that doesn't mean that only the Japanese make good products, and that Chrysler make complete crap(they have not had the greatest record in history, but I can think of worse).I have to give Chrysler so respect for going out on a limb with there products over the years when other companies didn't dare try some of the things they did, like the original mini-van,Using a meduim duty diesel in a truck back in 1989,the PT Cruiser,Prowler,Viper, the Re-designed Ram,currently the move to more Rear wheel drive.Lets face it they don't make the greatest stuff, but they take chance(some would say they have to),and there products are usually a pretty good value in the segment with a decent warranty. There isn't another truck brand at this time that I would consider besides the Dodge due to them having the exsclusive rights to the Cummins which is by far the class leader in longevity, power, and relability.

Go take a test drive in a Cummins 600 truck you may change your tune. The torque is addictive.

I like the Sky better than the Solstice. And of course I would choose the new Miata over the Sky. But I can honestly say I could own a Sky without feeling ashamed.

Edit: Ok, I checked out pics of the Solstice again and decided that I could actually own that car as well as the Sky, but I would still choose the Sky over the Solstice.

I have. Review the threads. Also, some people are afraid to side with me. That's what happens when one side gets bulldozed. An example is when Broken Apex Seal saw the political need to backtrack. Poor soul. I don't need to back track or apologize because I'm objectively right. I say it like it is and people are realizing that they can depend on me to introduce unique topics to make this place interesting and, as always, to say it like it is. They are also beginning to realize that I'm no retard, something that some of them should have waited more patiently to see instead of embarrassing their intellects by jumping the gun too quickly in that other thread.

It's funny you should bring this up because I was almost going to parody folks like you describe yourself. What I mean is people like you should not drive American because you are just asking for mechanical break-downs. Your Chrysler truck lasted a long time but you never mentioned the service costs. I once drove a Chevrolet boat through high school and college and got almost 200,000 miles on it but my parents put quite a bit into service costs. In contrast, my old Japanese car got 300,000 miles before I sold it with hardly anything more than oil changes.

I was going to parody the type of person who can't help but have a heavy lead foot at all traffic lights as well as on the freeway. It doesn't matter what they drive. Dodge K car crumbling at the seams or a monster truck creating an earthquake with its torque. Many of these folks are low income. So, I ask, why do they have a propensity to floor the damn vehicle wherever and whenever even when totally unnecessary and why do they buy cars more likely to succumb to their driving style?

Indeed, the people like you describe yourself make me laugh as well as **** me off on the road. These are the very people who should buy Japanese because, with consideration for their brutal driving style, they could minimize cost of ownership, especially if on limited income. My old Japanese car that got 300,000 miles did so partly because I shifted at 3000 to 3500 rpm. No one does that. I wasn't doing that on purpose. It just felt right to shift at that point for that car. That's just me and my driving style. That's why I'll bet I can keep my RX8 running trouble-free longer than any of you "enthusiasts." And that's why, paradoxically, if anyone can get away with driving an American car with chop shop engineering and build, it is ME. How ironic. But I won't buy the crap because I'm too bright, I'm not rich enough to throw money away, and there are too many superior alternatives.

To come up with the full list that you have, you really have to be a Ford fanboi (as Ike and others like to say). I would never ever own any of those cars.
