Cobb AccessPORT Discussion
yeah, stupid rain coming in tomorrow. Razz: wanna do some data logging this weekend or early next week?
I lent my scanalyzer out but I might have it back by then. Let me know.

I think a dyno tune is needed once I get all my mods complete. Need some airline tickets Jeff? All in all, the car feels strong. Still have not decarbed it with Seafoam yet.
65K on the OD BTW
I have United Bonus Mileage to use...

If you take that offer up I will help split the cost and drive down to seattle to get the car tuned depending on when you come! :o

^ Yes, but would he mess with Jeff's maps and a lowly NA Renesis - LOL
Maybe once all this shakes out and gets a better long distance tune, then maybe we can organize an event in Portland or Seattle. I'm half way between both out here in the sticks... Since I'm running Jeff's maps, I will stick with him as my tuner. Steve has not contributed to our little piece of rotor heaven like Jeff has.

Do you guys think it's worth going to a cobb dealer and getting a custom tune? Cobb has a few dealers in IL the work with the AP http://www.pandlmotorsports.com/tuningservices.htm
Man but $199 per hour.

Today is my 6th anniversary working at a company that builds mass air flow meters and controllers (laminar flow, not hot wire measurement). You'd be amazed on how many tech-types, applications engineers, grad students, and purchasing groups from around the world that I have to explain why they need to be measuring mass flow vs. volumetric in their application, and the general difference between the two. I can certainly see why the MAF tube discussion within this Cobb AP thread has gotton a little bloated

^^ Holy f-ing thread jack!
I guess I started it!
I wish I could say I read it all, but, I didn't. Sorry.
Subtract one and a half AFR points from each of those targets for a boosted rotary.
I just did a 300 mile tank of gas coming back from Vegas. That's over 21 MPG.
That is a 50% improvement over my regular milage before the AP.
ap@mazdamaniac . com - Drop the spaces.
Steve's a good guy.
That said, he is really new to OE PCM tuning and his interests with Cobb are mainly with the G35 and the 350Z.

Yep, sorry bout all that.
My mileage has gone up also. I filled up this morning and got 21.8 mpg this tank and got over 22 last tank. Both were on your maps and both were on my typical 70/30 Hwy/City driving. Before I was lucky to get 18 mpg. That's a quick 20% mileage increase on an N/A car.
